I’m trying to figure out where to get that replacement part that you used. I didn’t hear you call it by part name or where to get it from. I showed your video to the guys at Orileys and Autozone and nobody knew what it’s called. Please tell me where you got it from and what is it called. I think that it will. These fit many Ford, Lincoln, and Mercury models.

Can you provide a bit more detail on attaching the new aluminum ends to the cable? Did you crimp it at all or is it just a friction fit? I think this is why my 2004 Explorer rear window doesn't open when I press the button. Thank you.

No crimping needed, just slip the cable into the end. You may need to sand the outside of the cable casing a little bit, it is a snug fit.

My issue is the tailgate handle is extremely stiff and hard to turn both ways. We tried oiling it up, helped a little, but just not sure if I have to replace just the handle or the whole assembly.
