I think tamil people showed you their so- called palace. All the Indian invaders were defeated by Sinhalese kings time to time and ruled as one country until the white imperialists' era. One of the Sinhalese kings of Kotte kingdom defeated tamil invaders in Jaffna and northern area for the final time and ruled the whole country until his death in 1486. Then Portuguese invaders came in 1505 and ruled the coastal areas. So history of modern tamils started in white imperialists' era by coming from poor india .

North and Jaffna is such an amazing place with many attractions. The transformation of North from a war toned place since 2009 is so admirable, just in 13 years. Jaffna was a very developed city even in 1960s before the destructive war, where many things were brought to ground. That SL gentleman knows a lot of history and very informative and even I learnt things never knew about Jaffna. Thanks for promoting another vital part of paradise island. ❤🙏

You are very lucky with your driver. He is very articulate and knowledgeable. The people in h Jaffna are very hard working humble people. The whole war was fuelled by ambitious corrupt politicians of either side and people of both sides had to suffer. There is peace now and May it remain like that forever. The government has to ensure that it’s not a forgotten part of Sri Lanka. It’s like London and the North of UK. All development is centred around London. I hope for better in Sri Lanka. Try to enjoy vegetarian food and also Crab curry!

Guys just a suggestion. I have watched all the Sri Lanka vlogs so far. Since you guys are staying here for sometime and you enjoying visiting untouched places it’ll be best if you could rent a tuktuk of your own. Think It’ll be cheaper and you can travel wherever you want whenever you want. TukTuk rental is doing a good job I think. And really appreciate what you guys doing here in SriLanka. I really love your videos. Watched all of them from the first day ❤️ When you are in Jaffna, don't forget to go to Delft island. There are wild horses there 😊 Also, when you come down south, try to explore Knuckles and Riverstan area in the central part of the country. Many tourists don't go there.

A small correction to be done here. The Sangupiddi bridge which comnects Jaffna and Poonaryn existed during the war and was under the LTTE. The road was renovated recently.

I am an avid snorkeler and I was planning to go to Sri Lanka. Thank goodness y'all are there. However I discovered that Sri Lanka has saltwater crocodiles. Yep that's pretty creepy. A fisherman was killed I think it was 2022, if not it was 2021 In Colombo. So I started doing some more research, and I discovered that in Jaffna and the Jaffna peninsula. It is commonly thought that people who live in this area of Sri Lanka have exterminated Crocs from this area and it's widely believed that Crocs are basically extinct around these parts. So that's good news for you me. I'm still going to be exceptionally hyper aware. I guess I could get a bang stick, if they're not completely banned. Thank y'all so much for educating us.

There seems to be a large concentration of Salt water Crocodiles in the south of Sri Lanka 🇱🇰 but the North and North East appear to be very safe ☀️

' I do hope there'd be time to check out the south east .. & my advice would be is do it by bus to trincomalee then batticalo.. not missing out on passikudah & kalkudah beaches then down to arugambay.. & your almost deep south . Only to cross monaragaka bhuttala & hambantota to get to the next strech of dicwella ambalantota tangalle & then beaches all the way up to galle & hikkaduwa bentota waduwa & bck to colombo along the south coast .. Not forgetting Nilawali beach as you get to trincomalee...

The Civil War in Sri Lanka can be a controversial topic. There were some disputes between Sinhala and Tamil people at the time. However LTTE is banned from most of the countries and they have conducted operations against Civilians so the word terrorist suits them. They are officially named terrorist in most of countries.

Absolutely, when military forces came and raped and masscred hundreds of thousands innocent lives, the international media look at as military forces havingnwar with terrorists but a minority groups fight for their freedom, basic rights and self determination are labelled as terrorists. Beautiful world we are living in.

But those were isolated incidents and those weren't administrative orders. But LTTE was systematic war criminals. 1. Attacks on civillians 2. Child soldiers 3. Human rights violations 4. Suicide bombers These were administrative decesions made by LTTE. FYI governments don't ban organisations out of what they see on television. 🤦🏾‍♂️😂. They do thier own research.

The tamils survived 30 years economic crisis but the sinhalese people gets a glimpse of what tamils felt during this last 2 years crisis.

@@timekurulla listen man, i am not justifying what LTTE have done is right. They've done their share of illegal activities and war crimes. A minority gorilla warfare without any assistance from external sources is very difficult. They can't go and buy a fighter jet so they used suicide bombers and child recruitment. This is not right, the investigation of war crimes must be conducted by the international community and UN investigators. The ltte and the Buddhist extremists must be brought to the international court of justice. Only then a proper truth, reconciliation and accountability can be implemented. Till date, there was not one sinhala buddhist armed forces have been prosecuted for any illegal voilence by the same buddhist government that conducted the genocidal war.
