One of the core themes of the game is learning to live and let go of the past and continue carrying on, continue trying. I think it's thematically fitting for Nicole and Mark to never get back together again in the true timeline. I don't think their paths were meant to intersect, and it was only the colliding realities brought on by Jake and Maria that caused it. They might have been happy together in a hundred different lifetimes, but to make the universe right again, they have to learn to move on past one another. To forget. To live a new life where both of them can be happy, and it's only destiny that brings them in contact with each other again but just for a very brief and fleeting moment.

Just finished watching the finale and damnn.. Until then really makes me laugh, cry, confused and curious at the same time. What an amazing game, amazing story, amazing art, amazing characters and amazing voice act too. I really admired how Tuonto used diff voice for diff char and it perfectly suits them! (especially Carlo and Ridel, my favs). It helps me to experience and immersed more with the gameplay. There is a lot of lessons too in this game and it really hit me hard. This game is such a masterpiece, and extremely special to me. The characters, story, art direction, dialogue, music, everything is so amazingly put together to make you feel every emotion you can from a piece of media. It makes me cry every time I watch or play it (it’s been a full month since my first playthrough), and no other game has done that gotten me to tears before. The big reason I find this game so special is because of the lessons I’ve learnt from it, especially showing appreciation for those close to me. After I played, I reached out to a few of my closest friends to say I appreciate them and I’m proud of them, etc., and it’s genuinely helped them out, and some of them it’s surprisingly helped a lot. Theory: In the ending scene, we can see maria and jake together, watching them together, or lets say, they are the reason why they end up in the same cafe with their "temporary date", just a 1 step closer to their meeting. In the cafe, it's Mark's 4th date, and we all know why it keeps failing, because he is destined to be with someone else(nicole) and we can see nicole riding alone in the back of a car, this heavily suggested that nicole is on a temporary/meetup date as well. Maria and jake being there is one of the proof, fulfilling their promises that they will meet again. They are destined to meet, but maria and jake interference, rushing their meeting making the world collapse, Since they are no longer grieving over they lost, the world will no longer collapse when they meet in the final timeline. Just glimpse of each other, finding that spark, making it their destiny to be together. The name of the cafe is "tadhana cafe" or destiny cafe, also a proof that suggest that their destiny together will happen with just a glimpse, they are destined together, additionally with the assistance of maria and jake. If it was kapalaran/fate, it would've been a different story, since fate is something that we cant control/change. They have been together for hundred of lifetimes, they are technically soulmates, they will find each other, igniting that spark, and be together again. Addition!! Remember when mark saw nicole's profile at the beginning of the game? He said that he feels like he knows her. Meaning it doesn't need to be eye to eye contact in order to be familiar with each other. In this scene, we can see nicole looking at mark, therefore it's likely that she now feels like mark is familiar Headcanon: they will fail their temporary date and they can easily bump into each other soon after. Glancing at each other, will make them familiar with each other, entagled with their fate to be together. Imagine if they remember each other completely, instead of just being familiar❤. Anways, the point is, they are destined to be together. Extra theory from someone who replied to my comment before: "I'm adding new proof to confirm your theory, The more I see this last scene and the more i'm convinced your theory is right." When Nicole arrived in the cafe, She smiled while looking at Mark like she felt that spark! (look at her eyes) it's definitely for mark as her date has not arrived yet, as you can see the "empty chair" in front of her. While waiting, she was gazing at Mark during like 7 seconds straight ! This can't be a coincidence to look at someone for this long! she clearly felt something while seeing Mark. when Mark was calling the waiter, she looked at him during 3 seconds as if mark was more interesting than her date. + she noticed Mark before the waiter. During this new date, the girl in front of mark is playing with her hair during the Whole date! with a plain look as if the date was boring and she doesn't care about him. (probably a bad date, it's possible as Mark already failed 4 date before) Conclusion: Mark date is failing + Nicole is interrested by Mark, + the cafe is named "tadhana" which mean "destiny" = so i'm convinced they will end up together afterwards, it's not a coincidence as they are soulsmate, they are destined to be together in every timeline, but in this one they had to fix the world, and themself to be reunited again. Those dates are just a scheme, to make them able to meet each other again, even though they live so far from each other ctto. P.S. ONE THING TO NOTE ON MARK'S DATE: The girl in question could be Jessica, as seen from the way how both of them play with their hair in the same manner. It's not a coincidence either, as I read somewhere that Jessica's design and choice to twirl her hair was set in stone since the early stages of the game. Why is that important? According to Mark, he even states that he could never really get along with Jessica or hold a decent conversation with her, which is somewhat in line with his interactions with her in EVERY act, which means that if things are consistent enough, that this timeline isn't so different, and that this date is doomed to fail. Plus, with the added details that this girl could be bored of the date, and we have a high possibility of this being Mark's 5th bad date. FUEL ON COPIUM MARCOLE WILL BE REALIZED

This game is absolutely so beautiful. I remember waiting all school year to make time to watch this. I remember thinking: “No way, it’s as good as OMORI?? I *HAVE* to see this!” Because I also saw Tuonto play OMORI, and I absolutely loved every single second. Every word, every feeling it gave, every thought, absolutely everything.. That game has always been such a soft spot for me, and I can totally say the same for this one *too*. The amount of emotions I felt, the amount of times I felt miserable, sad, depressed, happy, relieved, joy - everything… I’m so glad I’m here to see it all. I feel like I’ve definitely learned so much.. I’m so grateful. I know things are hard for everyone. I know it’s hard to accept, I know it’s hard to witness loved ones disappear, but.. in the end what matters is how you accept it and how you develop and evolve from these situations… Everything’s going to be okay. oops took me a while to finish this since i was busy but damn is this good. probably the longest play through of any game ive watched, the most times ive cried over a game and probably one of the best if not the best game in it's storytelling and everything 😭😭😭 enjoyed the nice voice acting and reactions and ill have to check out the omori play throughs some day lol. ahhhhh ive enjoyed this whole thing so much im kinda sad it ended now 😭😭

Finished it finally😭. It was a good watched. It sucks tho that they didn't ended up together but still, what a freaking great game man insane.
