As someone who taught English in Taiwan many years ago, I am very impressed with Joanne's ease and facility with the language. Back in my day, you would not expect someone working at a tea and coffee shop to speak English so well, even a manager. And she's charming as well.

Given that their "menu" is both in English and Chinese, I'm guessing they're in regular contact with people from other countries, so speaking English is probably a must for those who work there, at least for the managers. this is probably gonna sound silly, but seeing someone as intelligent, talented and diligent as brett still struggling to meet the fast-paced demands of a food service environment was really eye opening for me. i worked at a busy family owned restaurant from when i was 16 up until about a year ago and developed severe anxiety from it. between rushing to take takeout orders at the front, plating, bagging, and pouring things in the back and consistently running back and forth, i was constantly stressed out. i thought i was just too dumb/slow to work in food service but i see now that it isn’t the case at all, it’s just a really difficult job in which many people who have never worked it before are unaware of the challenges. and not everybody can handle the stress of a daily fast-paced environment. i really appreciate brett & eddy for making this, not only because they took on the challenge themselves, but because of the message it will send to people who have never worked this kind of job before. it’s harder than you might think!

@@penultimania4295 i did not mean it as an insult or a negative thing. what i was trying to say is that even a notably smart and hard-working person can have a hard time getting accustomed to this kind of environment, and a lot of people don’t realize that. i’ve had people assume that i’m stupid while working in the food industry because the environment was not my strong suit, and the same can be said for a lot of people. i liked that twoset shed light on that by taking on the challenge themselves. for some it comes naturally, but for others it can be a bit more difficult to develop the skills required for this kind of job. i apologize if it came off the wrong way.

But Brett was doing the whole production process, wasn't he? Whereas Eddy was doing only some parts each time, it seemed.

And I was just watching their bubble tea tier list 😆 such good timing! It's so cool that 5 months ago they were saying no bubble tea store is sponsoring them, look at where they are now 😁 But seriously, I'll be trying CHICHA when I go to Taiwan 😊 The power of Twoset 🥰

This video was actually pretty cute, seeing brett and eddy living their dream. To be honest it was kind of a surprise but still pretty nice. Also the chicha san chen shop is literally SO cool. I love how you can customize freely and the designs are neat, so it can be easier. Honestly want to visit someday
