Trapped In Louisville | Project Zomboid Movie | Season 4 Pt. 1

For those stopping by before the premier, here is the ceremonial question for this movie: Out of all the other survivors we've seen in the series so far (this including characters besides the protagonists), which would you most like Emily to meet and why? There's been a lot of comments theorizing about who she might meet, and I thought it'd be cool to collect all those thoughts in one place so we can look back on them once the entire series has concluded.

Jules Wade, no comment else needed, just ask Fairybug. if we're basing of those outside the protagonist, I believe bouncer and Grover would like to meet up as well, but my top picks Jules.

I was all for Jules Wade initially, but I remembered that it would cause an issue with the timeline. We know Jules escaped the country club months after the outbreak, so his story takes place months after Emily's does. For consistency's sake, I vote for Grover.

@@yhorm685 that doesn't mean they could meetup in the long-term, I'm not expecting them to meet up now, that would make no sense, i'm thinking sometime in 1994 late jan or something like that.

Jules makes the most sense, though she would have to run into him several months after the outbreak, probably in the new year. I don't think Grover or Bouncer would run into Emily, seeing as they are down in Memphis, Tennessee. The only other person than Jules who makes the most sense would be that bastard Kevin, but I am against that because Kevin would probably kill Emily. So, yeah, Jules Wade would be nice to see again.

@@thenavydrifter2021 I am feeling called-out. XD Obviously I want Emily to meet all of the surviving protags, though I am keenest on her meeting Jules due to their interconnected backstories. I have a couple of others that I'd like Emily to possibly meet, too, though. Kevin is a firm possibility -- after all, it seems pretty clear that he was holed up in Louisville before he and Jules had their showdown, and he's got the same backstory ties to Emily as Jules does. Though, admittedly, he'd have a very different perspective on those events. Plus, Louisville is a big place, and Emily seems hesitant to reach out to people. I can't exactly see her seeking out the sound of some other survivor slaughtering his way through the city, as I imagine Kevin would. As for others, oh my GOD, can you imagine if she meets a sniper who was originally in Memphis when the dead took over, and fled south when some 'bandits' overtook his position? And I'm still very curious about Logan, Dr. Reeves, and maybe (almost certainly not) Anne's children. And hey, Bobby survived until just a day or two before Jules found him as a zombie, so that's one hundred percent an option too. Wouldn't it be great for Emily to get the other half of the story Jules wondered about for so long?

i really like this one, it shows how scared a normal person would be in this apocalypse, it shows the humanity still in some of those who are surviving, i hope that if she meets other people it wont end with her dying from gunfire

God, I love this game. I love how so many people create fun role-playing or custom storylines in their videos. It’s amazing to immerse yourself in their world, sitting on the edge of your seat as you watch them navigate challenges. You can’t help but feel pulled into their situations, empathizing with their struggles as if they were your own. You root for them to succeed and grieve with them when things go wrong. I’ve been thinking about doing a custom story myself, just for fun. It would also be a great way to showcase my play style-sharing the tactics and strategies I use to survive, the ones that keep me alive more often than not. I could journal my journey along the way. There have been so many unique situations in my playthroughs that would’ve been cool to document. For example, I remember planning a trip to March Ridge to find a welding mask so I could build fences around my safehouse. The planning process was intense, and despite my preparations, critical failures and mishaps kept things interesting. I finally achieved my goal after wiping out nearly the entire local zombie population. I spent the night resting on a rooftop, waiting for daybreak before making the trek home. Along the way, I had to fix a flat tire caused by using my van as a makeshift zombie bulldozer. Before I left, I wrote a journal and left it behind, imagining another survivor stumbling upon it someday. I even included some crucial survival tips in case it helped someone else. This game is both fun and challenging. It’s so easy to get immersed and feel the overwhelming struggle for survival-it’s what makes it so addictive.

Wonderful voice work - the protagonist's words crackle with emotion. Great building of tension. I really appreciate the contrast between how vulnerable Emily is, and how resourceful. I loved the other stories, TWG, but this one is off to an unbelievable start - might wind up being my favorite, if our girl makes it long enough!

I’ve always been interested in seeing the start of an apocalypse in zombie media, how the character(s) react, and how people try to survive in the early days. This is exactly what I have been looking for, and I’m angry that I didn’t find your channel sooner! I love the story telling, and I love the fact that really anybody can do something like this in their own saves by simply booting up Project Zomboid (and probably adding a few mods). I don’t speak for everyone, but I’m sure you’ve inspired lots of us to pick up the game again and try to make our own stories like this. I’ve been hooked, and I can’t wait to see how this story continues (and if it may connect with any of your other stories…)

It does connect! Seasons 1, 2, and 4 all take place in the same continuity! We're still not sure if season 3 is, however.

I would so much love for Emily to meet them! They're so far away, but they also have working bikes. And that 'back on the island' line at the end of the last episode leaves a lot of possibility for them to travel. It's not impossible!

I'm having a harder time getting into this one as its so heavily scripted. Part of what I love about this genre of content is making a story out of the randomness of the game. I'm also wondering why the zomboids are bashing their heads into the wall until they're dead rather than breaking doors down. I'll keep trying to come back to this one, but its been a hard start for me so far.

There was an issue with mods updating during one of my recording sessions, so all the cars that came from Fillibuster's Used Cars got despawned and replaced with random vehicles. I eventually had to go back and delete all the vehicles and replace them with "close enough" copies so that the save wasn't totally ruined. :P Glad you're enjoying the story, and there will certainly be more!

Sorta, yes -- it's the 'movie version', which some people wait for rather than watching the episodes as they release so that they can have a larger chunk of content at once. It has some smoother editing, some minor errors (such as the day count) corrected, that sort of thing.
