Mikey and Sam, this video sold me! Just got mine and out to the course, after a couple nights practicing the swing at home. 45 inch/79.5 degree at 5-11’ fits perfect. My stroke came much easier than I ever could have imagined. It’s a combo saw type cigar look I ended with, just came natural as they mention here. It literally feels like you are bowling in an odd sort of way, it’s unreal. This is a once in a lifetime kind of first love! All my other putters are being traded for new irons and wedges as I’m writing this. Over the moon right now knowing this part of my game is set for the next 30 years +, Lord willing I make it that long. Thank you LAB and Club Champion!

does it feel a tad too tall or still just perfect? I’m 6’2.5 and was gonna get a 45.5 or a 45 after the fitting and not sure if that will be too short for me
@BaxGolfPNW7 ай бұрын
@@Luke.Stewart I like standing up tall and the line of sight it gives me. The end over end you get from this club is nothing short of amazing. Line on ball is a big key too, only have a solid line on the Mezz top of putter flows very well. But as for height you want it’s all preference. Glover is hunched over much more than Bernhard Langer. I think that’s the next evolution in LAB Broom fittings is a height adjustment tool. Give you 5 to 10 strokes, go up or down an inch or two for some context on another set of putts. Find what’s natural to the individual. I don’t think I’ll ever change this setup, it’s only gotten smoother and better since arriving. Speed takes practice is all, if anything just a tad more than I anticipated on longer putts has been my subtle adjustment. I have multiple friends now looking hard into pulling the trigger themselves. Wishing you the best, with your choice. I’m sure you will love it, 45.5 at 6-2 is very close to 45 for me at 5-11 I’d say.

I was a pretty good putter until I developed a tremor in my left hand. The broomstick putter(LAB Mezz Max) solved that issue. However, I still had problems following the putterhead with my eyes. I solved that by going to the "heads up" method of putting, looking at a spot or the hole and not looking at the ball when I stroke it. I found that my LAB putter has helped that technique immensely. I don't necessarily have to hit the ball on the sweet spot to get a good roll and. the putterhead will correct itself even though I'm not looking at the ball. The main keys are tempo and using my shoulders. Putting is now like shooting a basketball or bowling: Look at the target or a spot on your line and forget about the golf ball..swing the putter at your intended target . It's amazing how well the line and the speed match up. Never made so many 4 footers...and my speed control is excellent.

1. Face balance or “lie angle” tech is not new. There are many of them, some are all better than lab. 2. Why this is so good is because broomstick. U stand up taller, putter at a higher angle. Easier to go straight back and straight forward due to our POV. Also your right hand path. Then your left hand is almost like an anchor point. Remember when every pro switch to chest putter, than pga banned. This is the closest thing to that.

@davefogel the pros practice for hours and hours and hours putting. Most of them have become masters at controlling torque. Many of them are also on contracts being paid. LAB does not pay pros to use their putters and their stuff. I think you would be surprised how many pros play LAB, it's more than you think. I've never putted better than with using a LAB. I still try other putters and think they are good, they just don't feel as stable compared to the LAB putters.

I mean you still have to have to right line, the putter can only do so much.

You could put it that way or also say that he wouldn’t have even been close if he used a regular putter.

@@ianfrasergolf I’ve been following you guys since the beginning of your journey and can safely say I’ve watched at least 99% of your videos. Without a doubt this is a top 5 video you’ve had in my opinion! I’ve been intrigued with LAB in general for about a year and this may be the putter I need to try!

@ianfrasergolf @txg - Wondering if you now have backed off of not considering center shaft putters with the success that LAB has brought in the last few years - Or are LABs still differentiated from other CS designs? Thanks for all the interesting videos!
