I use Barnes txs 5.56 on critters up here because it's sold copper and the eagles eat the carcasses. I haven't found a nontoxic bullet that shoots that constantly. One bad thing is a lot of runners. Great video!

I think a bunch of people look at the 223 as not good enough for hog hunting but man the right bullet in the right place and knowing the limitations like you said you can do some serious damage... I also think a ton of people who aren't real gun guys just say 556 instead of 223 kind of like when they say clips instead of magazines. LOL I'm just now to the point I've put enough money up that I'm wanting to setup a helmet with night vision on one side and a thermal on the other that way I can scan then flip it out the way and go to my thermal on the gun or shoot with night vision and an IR laser. This little guy looks perfect for that and the image quality is great. Good shooting and great video as always keepem coming brother!!!

Great vid and discussion on the RH25. I run a PWS MK111 Mod 2 - 7.62x39 suppressed (of course!) for pigs. I have great results with position 3 on the gas block. I have noticed that after a thousand rounds or so, the piston tube will start to show carbon build up and need a quick .40 cal bore brush soaked in Hoppes #9 run through it. I know this because the bolt won’t lock back on the last round around this time and I need to move it to position 2. Once I clean the piston tube, it runs like normal again on position 3. Not trying to convince you to go to position 3, just food for thought.

Different caliber though. Not the most convincing argument for him to switch. Definitely more gas on a 7.62x39.

The 55 grain sp from midsouth shooting supply is the cheapest I've found. If I'm not eating the critters, I use that bullet. Soft points come apart and kill animals dead, but leave fragments in the meat. I've filled pop bottles with jello to simulate prairie dogs. BTHP occasionally blow them up. Vmax, half the time, blow them up. Soft points explode every time, unless it's a grazing hit. If I'm planning to eat the animal, I use Barnes coppers. I no longer have bullet fragments in my meat. It is one of the most expensive bullets. Super penetrators and devastating hydrodynamic performance. Almost always complete pass through shots, with blood spraying out both sides.

Do you prefer the iRay RH25 over the Nox-18? I know the new version of the NOX-18 can be used as a helmet mount or clip on up to 50 BMG. Wasnt sure if you have had the opportunity to use a NOX. Keep hearing to get the NOX-18 do to the bauer/BAE core. Since I cannot play with them before buying just wanna get the right one. Spec wise there is very little different between the two, but I'm sure to the eye they might be very different. IDK... Thanks for the content too man.
