Looks like a very nice unit and I like the recharge feature. My wife bought a cheaper battery operated type several years back. It works fine but my wife tells me that the sensor is too sensitive. Sometimes, if she passes her hand too close it, it will dispense the soap when she doesn't want/need it. Just drops into the sink. I don't seem to have that problem. Not sure I want to spend $50 to solve that problem. Maybe I'll get her one........for our diamond anniversary. 😂

Yes it will work while charging. The only way to know when the soap runs out is when it starts pumping. It’s easy enough to remove the lid and do a quick check though.

Did you have any issue of it dispensing on its own without using or getting soap drops on your counter?

I want to say never, but there very rare occasions when that might happen. The frequency is probably 1 out 50 times you use it. That is what makes this particular unit so great is the seal. It’s two-fold. It virtually eliminates drips, and it keeps the soap from clogging up in the tip because the seal is so good.

@@txtoolcrib I had the 14 oz one. Dual. I had to return because it was nonstop making a mess. Just drips on their own. It’s a good thing the purchase was still within the 45 days money back guarantee. I got 2 of the 9 oz next and no problems with drippings.

I have 5 of them because I like the design but don't count on much service life after 2 years, Three of them quit just outside the warranty and I only use their expensive soap. I purchased a new one this week (because the "old one" quit right after 2 years. They made some improvements and the size is larger, new disc charger and longer battery life, but the price has gone up to $100, so this has become an expensive habit in my opinion. We'll see how well the new one fares, but I would bet on the service life long term. There, despite this "glowing review", you've been warned.

Not a servicable unit, the battery WILL die within a year and half or two, and you can NOT open it and replace just the battery!!! Be warned.
