Thanks for the review. I was interested in using the foaming pump with Blueland soap tablets to cut down on plastic

Thanks for sharing! I wish you would have shared the foam soap dispensing all over the place; more transparent.

You don’t have to dilute the liquid soap for the foam dispenser?

Do you honestly recomend these long term? I have loved Simple Human for my trashcans and shower caddys where I find both quality products and worth the high price point. I was considering buying this foam dispenser for all my bathrooms but have been super discouraged as anywhere you looks at reviews between their website and Amazon it's the endless same issue where the dispenser stops working or corrodes inside whether before the 2 year warranty or after it. This includes the current new models so obviously they have s huge design defect that is ongoing regardless their old or new models and I find it crazy to pay $70 for something that will most likely die out within 2 years compared to their other products. They dont seem to be in any hurry to fix this issue so I am currently holding off on buying as their luxury prices arent justified for items that dont last long term you know. Thank you for your thoughts!

I'm wondering the same thing and I see the same complaints frequently. However, their overall rating at various websites are still around 4.5/5, which suggests to me that these complaints are coming from a vocal but very small minority. All products have a certain failure rate and I'm hoping that 4.5 rating in indicative of an exceptionally low failure rate. Of course, most of these positive reviews could also just be short-term reviews; perhaps many more people actually have the same complaint after using the product long enough. Is there an actual automatic soap dispenser that is worth the price and has the reputation for reliability? For some people, $70 for 2 years of use is worth it for them.

@@timjung640 Yep exactly my issue and why I didn't end up purchasing the foam or even gel dispensers at the end of the day. The bigger items from this brand I enjoy many of but for these items as much as I wanted that modern touch to my bathroom and kitchen for soaps/hand washes I was running across the same complaints on dozens of sites that sold them whether older models or newer current. I never ignore when the same issue is constantly brought up and the company refuses to change anything to justify the luxury price point when the quality/cheap finishes dont match the investment remotely. Problem even with high overall ratings so many of these brands and companies pay and manipulate endless reviews and block so many negative reviews from even being posted purely to make their ratio look better. Very deceiving but just reality and ofcourse the products always conveniently break or stop working the second the return window for a full refund is closed and then the brand's warranty magically has loopholes to not cover anything. Really wish there were more simple automatic modern dispensor brands on the market that held up as whether endless generic amazon varieties or high priced brands like simple human they equally end up dying out way too soon so I'd rather throw out $20 worth of junk than $70+ you know. Cheers!

@@diananemoy7409 Yeah, I think the ultimate issue is the challenge in filtering out short-term reviews. The real test-what matters most-is whether these products continue to perform well in a few months or years. So I pay most attention to reviews that state how long they've been using the product (e.g. kzbin.info/www/bejne/kIHKn6GCotSIZq8). I've been involved in writing Amazon reviews for certain companies. They'll actually ship me their products for free and often even pay you to write reviews. While they don't explicitly ask that you write a positive review, it's implied because they wouldn't pay someone again to write a possibly bad review. I don't think that being paid to review something inherently makes the reviewer dishonest, but the conflict of interest is nonetheless a red flag, and if we don't know the person presenting the review, we have even more reason to be wary. Personally, I always tell these companies paying me to write reviews that I'll be honest; and if I was running a business and needed reviews for attention, I'd make it a priority that reviewers understand that I'd be paying them for their honesty and suggestions, perhaps even implementing an "anonymous whistleblower" approach so reviewers aren't pressured to inflate their ratings. Reputation matters and it can easily make or break a company. It seems that the market for automatic soap dispensers is still nascent. Technology is always initially buggy and expensive for the simple reasons that (A) because nobody is omniscient, nobody can foresee and thereby test for every possible scenario and (B) not enough time has passed to discover how to further streamline the manufacturing process to further lower costs. This is why I think it's best to think of early generations of new technology as experimental and that consumers-early adopters-are guinea pigs who are willing and/or can afford to experiment (such as myself who just bought two of the gel dispensers and one foam dispenser). Over time, the bugs will be ironed out; those bugs are often not known (we don't know what we don't know) until enough people buy and use those products in ~new~ contexts. We recognize the value of continually improving ourselves; similarly, businesses continually improve their products so essentially, product testing is a never-ending process. What's key is knowing where to draw the line-despite knowing that bugs will inevitably be discovered-because product testing can go on forever. The guiding principle is whether there are enough people whose use-cases would endear the product enough despite its shortcomings.

I bought one around 2 months ago and I don't think I would recommend them. I have an issue where when you put it on to charge, despite suppsedly showing a green flashing light, it doesn't. The light stays solid green all the time and doesn't go out so you have no idea when it has fully charged, which goes against what their instructions claim. I've seen a few reviewers saying the same thing, some have a flashing light, some don't. Which suggests either an electronic issue or a battery issue. It's telling that compared to the 5-10 years warranty for other SimpleHuman products, they only give you 2 years with these dispensers. They are far more expensive than others out there and although I think they are the best looking ones, I have a feeling they won't last sadly.

@@mancbiker17 100% agree and why I ended up not getting one or ever planning to as much as I like all their other bigger products I own. Too many dam reviews mentioning endless glitches and breaking down waaay early on even before their joke of a warranty at the ridiculous price point. As much as I love technology and modern design in my home, nothing I despise more than big brands charging you luxury price points shamelessly for their products with no longterm quality. As much as I like the design I wont invest in things that dont last and a company that cares more about profit than standing behind every product when endless customers have addressed the same complaints for years and they do literally nothing to tweak/fix the issue aside from upgrading their cheapily coated design every few years lol. I will remain with my Method Foam Soaps since its seems impossible for any brand on the market to develop a working sensor soap dispensor that isnt junk after a few months, better a $20 piece of junk from Amazon than $80 from Simple Human! 😅
