It's been 6 years, and they are all passed their prime with 50mil contracts. They can keep going above the salary cap but at some point they got to say enough is enough let's retool. Them old legs need a 28/32 prime player to still contend. They never gonna have that with 56 kawhi, 35 george and 35 harden getting 50mil a year. Even if they settled for 40 it's too much.

Kawhi's legs are 40+, harden is turning 35 and had 1 great game in this series, George the same thing. It's over for that core, they won't even reach a conference final again with Minnesota, Oklahoma, Denver, Dallas and even the Lakers ahead of them.

James harden is an amazing scorer but never shows up in those final close out moments (early in the series sure, but not towards the end). Paul George, same thing. Kawhi can and has in the past, but he’s missing in action. Russell Westbrook is also able to do some great things on offense and defense, but has been extremely inconsistent for the last few years. These guys are a model of inconsistency and I wouldn’t blame them one bit if they broke it up
