TYCO Great Northern 0-8-0 Repair/Refresh and Run

This video is not intended to be a repair tutorial on these units, rather just a quick showcase of the loco and how it runs before and after a simple refresh. Properly maintaining a powertorque can result in some halfway decent running. Note that all tyco chattanooga type locos will have the same drive.
Please note that a refresh such as this is no replacement for a frame off restoration. If you want the best possible running quality I will always recommend a full frame-off. This procedure, rather, will stabilize the loco by maintaining all contact points and joints, allowing it to run as it should. A unit with these procedures done should operate correctly for a long time so long as proper maintenance is observed.
