There should be 2 saw blades for Raven that you can load. You're supposed to pull the piece on the back until it clicks, then push the button on top to launch one. Repeat the process for the second.

I absolutely loved mask as a kid. Watched the cartoon, and had the fortress and almost all of the vehicles except for a few. Played with them all of the time. Some of the best memories as kid!!

I'll never forget falling in love at first sight with Hurricane in the toy department at Hills back in 1986, but my mom told it was too expensive and I'd have to wait for my birthday in a couple months, so I begrudingly picked out Firefly which was about half the cost. I wasn't overly excited about it and wished it was Hurricane, but when I got home and unboxed it I was super happy! It was awesome! I was ecstatic when I finally got Hurricane for my birthday, but despite it's larger size and more detail, it just wasn't as fun as Firefly.

I was that way with Firecracker. It was, by far, my favorite M.A.S.K. vehicle and I was devastated when they destroyed it on the cartoon and gave Hurricane to Hondo (it was confusing too since vehicles got destroyed all the time, only to show up scratch-free in the next episode.) For that reason I HATED Hurricane! Obviously now I can admit it was a pretty cool toy but I never asked for it for a gift as a kid and only recently finally picked it up to complete my collection.

The Hurricane and Jackhammer were my favorites, but damn I loved all of these. I didn't have the huge Venom truck, but I had all the first series and this series but the Truck, and many 3rd series. I would take these to school in a separate gym bag and I had NO trouble finding kids to come play with me. I'd let them as long as they were careful and didn't abuse my toys. One kid did, I warned him, he threw my dune buggy and I told him it didn't really fly, so dont do that, he broke a minor piece on it and it was on. I got a paddlin', lol, for whippin his ass. Luckily, my brother was there to pick up my toys and keep them safe while I was in trouble. I didn't get in trouble at home, my folks were proud I stood up for my things they worked hard to pay for. But after that, I only took 3 toys. My Hurricane, the Jackhammer for my brother, and the Condor for a 3rd kid to play with. Something that could easily be replaced if broken. God I miss these, and those days. I still got most of my G.I. Joes, but I miss this. I may have to start collecting them and get em all back and more again.

I regret not giving M.A.S.K. more attention, but I was also obsessing over G.I.Joe, Transformers, and Masters of the Universe and other stuff at the time. I spent half the summer begging for the Outlaw and got it. That cannon was powerful. That, Thunderhawk, Scott and T-Bob, Firefly, Boulder Hill Playset, and Vanessa Warfield's Manta were all I got.

I’ve been trying to get my MASK collection filled out more but dang, they got expensive! I still managed to get Buzzard and Miles for Outlaw for cheap, though. Alas, I think Boulder Hill and Goliath will always be out of reach for me. I always liked the double meaning of “Snake Oil” too 😉 The grappling hook would make more sense if you could fire it while driving. Some features of 80’s toys were just weird.

To this day, 30 ish years later I still remember having a dream of actually standing behind a full size Raven, and exposing the engines, only to get burned by the exhaust heat. Weird. I love this series, with the exception of Volcano. I never was a fan of toys with batteries, and I think Kenner missed the mask with that vehicle. All the others are great. My favourite would be Raven but it's a hard choice with so many great vehicles in the series.

The raven buzz saw is launched by pressmg the button on the roof, it wasn't intended to be a pinball style shooter. Sorry if no one else has told you this. Also the front tire guns weren't suppose to be left in the vertical position they are suppose to be at 45° angles to shoot other vehicles when it was on the water. I mean you can play with it however you want to but that was the intended purpose according to the box art and instructions.

The European colour variants weren’t alternatives (in the UK at least). We had the same Bruno Shepard with Stinger for example. Not the teal one. I don’t remember the teal Bruno but most of the others you showed were later repaints that came with adventure packs.

M.A.S.K was way ahead of their time when it comes to flouro outfits! It took G.I.Joe another 5 years till they reached the same level of gaudiness with their figures! Of course, the flying Delorian appeared at the end of the first Back To The Future in 1985.. Did you know that they mixed up the names of Raven and Manta? Raven is a car that turns into a boat, and Manta is a car that flies. Also, Vanessa Warfield keeps pet ravens, so the name would make more sense for her vehicle. You are probably aware that something similar happened with the tech specs of Sideswipe and Sunstreaker. As a kid I had Condor and Stinger. They both got misplaced but I bought another Stinger on Ebay a couple of years ago. They are pretty expensive compared to other lines like G.IJoe. Would have liked to pick up a couple more, but not at those prices.

I love MASK much more as a childhood memory than as anything worth collecting as an adult. The slug figures at such a tiny scale are begging for an upscaled modern treatment but how would you handle the vehicles? They would have to be huge and would the figures stand alone without vehicles? Lots of unanswered questions with a modern take on MASK, but IMHO the toys are best left in the 80's.

Alright, M.A.S.K.!! Now we're talking. As a kid, I had all the U.S. releases except for goliath (and those 2packs of rereleased figures with long masks). About 10 years ago, I picked up a goliath and started getting the splitseconds, then some of the european figure variants; but stopped at the argentinean ones, as they were way more expensive than I was willing to pay at the time. As for this video, the vampire missiles should be launched by squeezing the back parts horizontally, which will have them slip through the pinch of your figures, and give you more distance with the launch.

The Figures are not actually European or American Versions... Because Kenner Parker Toys are always from U.S. The Figures that comes with the Vehicle are the Original Ones and the Others just from a Extra Figure-Set... That's the Point. We had both in Europe.

What I can say about the German releases Firefly - didn't come with the bomb, probably chooking hazard. Raven - AFAIK the H in Calhoun is silent ;). It's easier when you feed the seatbelt under his right arm, over the chest and plugg it in but I never had trouble getting his legs into the cavaty. But the original BttF had the flying Delorian at the end ... so it could be insipred, but since the wheels are supposed to be guns, probably not. Raven doubles as a hydroplane and a sub in the show, so even without Shark you had somebody who could give Piranha a harder time than Gator. You're doing the sawblade wrong - you cock the mechanism with the pulley in the back and shoot with the button on the roof. Volcano - You've got the bar on the turret backwards. the open end is supposed to go over the shoulders of the figure and it's supposed to be seated deeper. Looking up online references, that's not the right harness As far as I can tell, it's way too big. And you're missing the wheel hubs.

Uhm there's an enlarged slit on the tail end of the van/winnebago. I think the red tail is right where it needs to be.
