Tyene Sand is the third of the Sand Snakes, the bastard daughters of Oberyn Martell. Her mother a septa, a knowledgeable poisoner, calm and collected and close friends with Princess Arianne, the show version of Tyene is very different from the books, not just because if her looks, but because she is two of the Sand Snakes, Tyene and Ellia merged into one. In this video we take a look as to why Tyene was so different in Game Of Thrones, and why i think the show runners chose to change her character so much.

We might not agree on Blackwoods/Brackens brother but this comment I couldn't agree more with. I really wish they would have done much more with the Dorn plotline in the show. I feel they did Oberyn justice in the show, but not the Sand Snakes

I wonder what Martin's plans for the Dornish storyline is. My feeling is that he intends the Sandsnakes to succeed in their assassinations and aiding the Griffs (which may be a play on words with grift) in gaining power. Building them up so much only to be foiled by the Lannisters in the end, seems anticlimactic to me. It's just wild speculation, but I think the will succeed in killing Tommen, Marcella and possibly other members of the small council and Faith Militant (on the advice of Varys).

The Sands definitely didnt deserve their poor portrayal in the show, but it's also hard to take the Dornish plotlines seriously when they feel so tacked on and don't seem to be going anywhere in the books.

Hey, it's me, comin atcha again to spread the good word that Septa Lemore is the mother of Tyene Sand. The hair color difference is irrelevant because genetics are wacky like that. See for example, dark-haired Ned Stark fathering more red-haired children than dark-haired children. Septa Lemore very well might have a blond parent or grandparent.

tv series dorne was just a lot of lazy writing. It seems cut purely so the series could focus on the other parts of the series plot.
