Well done Davie as usual! I prefer a REGULAR bead on my Jig style hooks.I just started it when I ran out of slotted beads and tried it. IMHO they Lock in easier and better.

So nice once again ! Always looks so easy to tie but it’s just another story when I get behind my vise 😝

The Dark Pardo has been working well in Dry Mayfly patterns on the Western Loughs for the last two years Davie. I use the longer feathers spun for the abdomen and use two for the wing along with two Dun coloured CDC feathers. Hackle CDC fibers in a dubbing loop, colour to match the conditions.

I’ll definitely need to tie some of these to!

Very nice pattern. I am sure this will be successful here in Newfoundland & Labrador. Thanks Davie.

Nice fly, Davie - I’d be tempted to add a couple of horns underneath the body, as per many of your Caddis Pupa patterns - very catching! Cheers, Duncan

first of all, thank you for your art. is there any way to buy 50 dry flies tied by you? I want to have them in my collection, I don't think I will ever fish with them, they are too valuable.

Hi Dave Can you tie this in different colours? Or would it be not imitative of a proper insect/fly?
@DavieMcPhail4 ай бұрын
Hi David, I've tyed them mostly in natural grey, brown, yellow and any olive colour like this one in the video..It's a simple pattern and has caught me many fish over the years.. All the very best Davie
