That's wonderful. I find it's even more 'fishy' if using the Petitjean stacker method for the CDC, although it does take longer. I wonder whether the Coq de Leon tail is as effective as the original's stripped CDC quills: CDL is certainly a lot easier.. And your comment that stripped Coq de Leon quill is a good resource is very useful. An interesting version can be tied using Aero Dry Wing in place of the CDC., or a mix of the two. CDC with a hint of the luminous Aero Dry Wing (difficult to get) is much easier to see.

Davie I have a question for the master because you use coq de leon for bow tie tails how do they differ from cheaper feathers or badger hair because it is an expensive material

Does the cdc stem on the shorter part of the wing twist your line when you cast?
