Do you prefer these Icelandic doubles in certain sizes? I have asked a Swedish tier to tie me 5 patterns of doubles and each in sizes 6, 8, 10 (Ahrex doubles) and I am wondering whether I made a good choice. I also have ordered tiny Frödin tube flies so I have everything from size 16 hooks to size 6 for my #7 double-handed fly rod (for salmon but also sea trout and even brown trout in the lakes). I do love how these designs bare such iconic Iceland names related to locations and sagas 💙

Hii Dirk, I think you made a good choice. Yes, I agree, some flies here are related to the land and the sagas of the land. Like the Flæðarmús, that's a mythological creature. Check that video :) About size of double hooks here used in Iceland, I'd say that many anglers are using a very small numbers like 12-14-16 even. But it all depends on where you are fishing, when you are fishing, early-mid or late seasons, and then again the water levels. Also if you are fishing in low water seasons or season that you have decent amount of rain the days before.

Could you maybe make videos on how to fish nymphs and streamers in Iceland?
