Hi @sigurdurmarolafsson4183, Sorry about the delay in getting back to you, I've tyed it with a few different hairs though I would say using goat would be good to use especially the body hair..Arctic Runner is also a great hair to use as well as Bucktail...I'm glad you liked the fly.. What is it that you have on your index finger that you glide the thread with? And also, I'm a fly tier in Iceland and love to see people tie Icelandic flies. i can't find any videos of Icelandic flies. I would love to see you tie Laxa Blue or any other Icelandic fly. I can send you recipes of flies if you'd like?

Hi Richard, The colour combination is much the same as the original pattern as far as I believe but I have to be honest I have tyed that many versions of this pattern that I couldn't tell you what one is the original...I'm glad you liked the fly... All the very best Davie..
