Always the best methods for the pattern at hand. I wish these videos existed when I tied commercially for tying and fishing expenses money. Best lessons I've had since A.K. Best.

Love it. I see lots of beautifully tied klinkhamers / parachutes on facebook but I always think there is too much hackle on the wingpost. So I referred back to the master and my suspicions were confirmed. To me this one is perfect. Beautiful.

Davie, Like most good things you don't fully appreciate them unless they are taken away.............. for a bit! I'm very pleased you are back as you've taught me to tie great flies and for that I'm most grateful as I enjoy the learning process, catch more and get more satisfaction from my fishing. Keep up the great work. Kind regards, Mark.

Hi Davie. I never thought I would get into fly tying but watching your videos and learning from you has made me keen on trying it for myself. I have to congratulate you on the way you teach the techniques and uses for materials. Everything is so clear. I also love the accent! It's a bit like being back home.

Also, (which works wonders for me) you can use a few strands of Crystal Flash. Very visible and light weight.

Great technique, easier to tie off this way. Top of the line fly when things get slow.

Hello Davie, I watched so many of your videos and as a beginner, i have to say i progress really fast by watching your videos and i wanted to thank you for that. I have a big concern though, and that is the parachute hackle, i just cant seem to get the finishing of it to stick that well! Usually the hackle just unwinds itself and thats anoying when i look on a otherwise deacent fly :) Do you have any suggestions for me ? Watched the video many times but cant see the last step that you do.

@DavieMcPhail Thank you for your reply. I completly understand whats your point. But dont you think its wrong to "educate" people to tye wrong fly? I think its basicly the same if you tye a silver doctor and then title it as a silver rat. Anyway keep up the great work youre doing here on youtube. You give so much to the world wide fly tying community. The effort you put is probably far more greater than most think.

Hey there Davie. I have some critisism for you. This isn't a klinkhåmer. It has nothing to do with it to be honest. Hans developed the fly in long time span. It took 15 years to klinkhåmer to be what it is nowadays. I don't know if you've met Hans in person, but I can assure you he would not accept this or the CDC one as a klinkhåmer. Im in no way disrespecting or mocking you. Youre amazing. But pleace, rename the fly for parachute emerger or something like that... this isnt a klinky.
