Beautiful looking little fly mate. Going to have to put a few in my boxes. Then try them out on the brookies here and the browns. Thanks for sharing a great little pattern with us all my friend. Best Regards, Ken

BEAUTIFUL fly. I'm gonna give this a try today and maybe try it next weekend. I've got a stream with lots of native. I going to try to get the pattern done using a 8 hook. Then I'm going small.

Great video Davie, I can really see the benefit of dying your own feathers. I might need to bite the bullet and get some dyes.

You should do an American Fly called the Doc Oliverio Green Drake in size 10 on a slightly longer hook. Maybe like an eye length or two long. I can give you the recipe. I think Dr. Oliverio sold the pattern to Umpqua. Anyway, I visited his shop and his son taught me a couple of patterns. Joe Messenger Jr. actually taught me the green drake pattern and gave me a nod of approval on my work. Just a suggestion for content and its very easy to tie. I can give you the rundown on how to tie it if you want as well.
