Love the Snealda type profile, very tasty look. There's no better place to learn about new styles and methods than watching the hands of a grand master at work. Thanks for your never ending teaching Davie.

Your a pure inspiration to me Davie love the way you tie. I'm only 12 and relatively new to salmon fly tying. So you do help me lots. Tight lines. Callum

Hello David. I'm in Maine New England USA. I've been watching your videos for a long time now. I have to say, From all the other fly tiers out there in KZbin land, your the best one! I love how humble you seem in your voice as your tying. I'm learning a lot. In the beginning, I hated tube flies, but after watching your videos, tube flies are actually my favorite style of tying now, not disrespecting other styles or tiers.. April Vokey works a lot with Rhea when tying tube flies. What's your opinion about working with that type of material? I myself cannot afford to tie anything other then my own shoes, but I'm really enjoying spending the time watching your videos. Thank you!

Hi Dylan U, I've used Rhea on a few tubes especially the Templedog or Scandinavian style with the long and tapered wing, it's very mobile and dyes extremely well, I have attached a video for you to see...kzbin.info/www/bejne/nHXWiqCCjs12q68 Thank you very much for the kind words about my videos it does mean a lot to me... All the very best Davie...

Davie...when your tying the hackle on in one direction, doesn't that cause the fly to spin in the water, twisting up your tippit? Why not tie the hackle on in both directions so it doesn't spin at all? Just wondering. Thank you.
