As a pulling fly in a wave, this fly could be the only one needed in your box, apart from changing the colours. What a wonderful example of ingenuity skill and experience. Mr McPhail, you continue to amaze and excite me.

Hey Davie, when you dye a gray/Dun variant saddle, can you use a highlander green and get that olivey color? Do I make the solution weak, or rinse it before setting the color? Thanks for your time in answering. I am going to try to get that sooty olive color from this saddle. All the best, Sean

Hi Sean, To be honest I haven't dyed a dun green highlander before as I use a yellow to get an olive when dying a natural dun, I wouldn't do this as you many end up with a dull mucky green but I could be wrong..I would try a couple of feathers first just to see how it would turn out... All the very best Davie
