Another fantastic fly, thank you. I really enjoy the way you talk us threw the process. I especially like you showing us the feathers. That makes it easy to improvise if I don’t have the exact feather.

Feeling stressed at work, shut the door, zen out to the dulcet Scottish tones of Davie McPhail tying flies, doesn't even matter which one. I'm even thinking about tying flies now.

Hey Davie, really nice effect of the small uni-wire. I thought when I first saw it, there was a goose or turkey biot on the body. Just thread, wire and Edge bright and that made a really good looking fly. Of course I have never seen a video of yours that didn't make a good looking fly. That being said, it is simple but has all the ingredients. Thanks for sharing. All the best to you and your family, friends etc. Sean

Dave ..... how do you cut your lead into strips for weighting nymphs? Jim Gilmartin
@DavieMcPhail10 жыл бұрын
Hi Jim, I use a large pair of scissors so that I get a nice long cut, I always cut the lead with the white background showing as it's easier to see... All the very best Davie

Great video. Thanks. I just wish I could understand the wording better. The softly spoken British "English" was hard to follow. You see I live in America! As they say “one picture is better that 1K words, so I will do the best to learn from the demonstration.. Thanks again for the post.

Do you sell the flies you tie Davy Thanks Jay
@DavieMcPhail5 жыл бұрын
Hi Jay, I do sell but mainly just the flies I tye rather than taking orders, The main reason is that I have built up a lot of materials over many years and I have to use them up and I know if I take orders I will have to buy something in which I am trying not to...I also sell from time to time on ebay which I usually link on my community page here on KZbin... All the very best Davie

@DavieMcPhail10 жыл бұрын
Hi Christian Berthet, I bought mine from the Glasgow Angling Centre as they stock materials from Veniards who are a wholesale company that supplies the shops, so if you can find a shop that stocks their material then I'm sure they'll be able to get it for you... @veniard-edge-bright~19577.html All the very best Davie
