Great video & tie, Mike. I was probably half asleep when you tied this last year. RIP the Kenny Abrams Salmo Saxitilis rod.

Is this top water? Looks pretty light. Been trying to find a good “weedless” shrimp pattern. Backwater Florida fishing for reds in my area is borderline impossible unless you’re using top water or strong weedless rig. We have loads of oyster beds. It’s a fly graveyard down there lol

Didnt know Kenneth Abrames made fly rods..

He had 3 models, all 10.5' with softer action like older rods, perfect for mending line in saltwater for wet swings, dead drifts or grease line fishing for stripers. I have the heaviest model but the lighter rod was more of a trout rod. GHreat rods, think saltwater edge was one of the only places selling it and don't think you can find the rods anymore.

@@lifliesmike im sure ..I bought Striper Moon when it first came out...I feel bad for you guys now, the fishing was so good in the 90s and early 2000s that i just cant go..no comparison as far as big fish from the beach..Just got back last night from Tarpon in the Keys and the west coast..thank god that fishery still holds its own but is teetering also..tight lines bud
