Tyler Childers has changed the way I listen to music the past 4-5 years. Shake the Frost, to me, is one of the greatest songs ever written. We went and saw Tyler last year at Railbird in Lexington. The show was unbelievable, but he didn't play this song. We saw him again in Tulsa in April. I just kept telling my wife, "He's got to play Shake the Frost". And, he did. And it was so incredible. God Bless Tyler Childers. I have never come across another artist that hits my soul like he does.

I learned so many things down there I could write a book about it but for the sake of the comment I’ll be brief. Those who call Appalachia home are some of the most honest and true people I’ve met. I don’t know if it’s the mountains that teach you to be honest with yourself or what. But what I do know is those months waking up to a fog laid over the fields and a breeze from the river is my second home. It taught me things about myself that I keep to this day.
