David Gilmore is fantastic, With his soaring guitars. But when you strip those songs down like Tyler & remove all the soaring guitar solos, helicopters and people yelling and gimmicky noises like grandfather alarm clocks, the stories in those songs become much more vivid, relatable and produce much more feeling. I just thoroughly enjoy Tyler's style, and he makes it look way to easy.

1:39 when Pink Floyd sings the lines "And you run, and you run to catch up with the sun but it's sinking, racing around to come up behind you again!" they sound sad, that yet another day passed and there is nothing you can do about it... when Tyler sings it, he sounds like he is mad at the sun, like he is in a race and the sun has an unfair advantage, no matter how hard he tries, he will always lose to time...

My favorite part… I love the ragged anger in his voice! A true musician that makes you feel his words whether you can relate to it or not. There are very few modern artists that can give you that much soul in their music or even have that much soul to offer. Stuff like that can’t be taught or learned. You either have it or you don’t, and he certainly does.

Yes I too have experience with a spiritual awakening Tyler is a gift from the light bringers I can never be more thankful for you tube suggestions scary the algorithm can see my soul so carefully .I really needed saving and my mom needed me to help her in her Alzheimers I got to be an ok daughter in the end and truthfully I felt really sad she just had my sorry ass to help her out of this cruel end she got assigned. Tyler and a few others gave me the strength to feel my way through a hellish addiction and a regretful life if bad choices I was really stuck in self destruction mode lol Tyker was my prozac and I decided I could die later these boys and guitars are fucking the best I seen in my 58 years I have faith the world is going to change in ways I wouldbt guess it's really quite the show it has a better ending than I imagined .I am seeing him and a few other artists in my home state of montana Billy Strings Elle King Mandolun Orange C0lter Wall insanity and i would gladly die happily after this festival i never wanted to live this bad I hope you are doing better it's so hard in this skin suit sometimes music has always been my comfort when the committee in my head are telling me loudly I'm not doing anyone any favors breathing their air .Its pretty brutal.in my head sometimes.

Ticking away the moments that make up a dull day Fritter and waste the hours in an offhand way. Kicking around on a piece of ground in your home town Waiting for someone or something to show you the way. Tired of lying in the sunshine staying home to watch the rain. You are young and life is long and there is time to kill today. And then one day you find ten years have got behind you. No one told you when to run, you missed the starting gun. So you run and you run to catch up with the sun but it's sinking Racing around to come up behind you again. The sun is the same in a relative way but you're older, Shorter of breath and one day closer to death. Every year is getting shorter never seem to find the time. Plans that either come to naught or half a page of scribbled lines Hanging on in quiet desperation is the English way The time is gone, the song is over, Thought I'd something more to say. Home Home again I like to be here When I can When I come home Cold and tired It's good to warm my bones Beside the fire Far away Across the field Tolling on the iron bell Calls the faithful to their knees To hear the softly spoken magic spell

PART 2 LYRICS: "HARLAN ROAD" Funny how she calls me the night I need her more than ever I've been down in low cotton As lonesome as can be And I think about her often boys And even when I'm sober I read over the love notes The ones she wrote for me And if she wants one night Well thatd be just fine Well, somebody fetch my walking cane I'm gonna get my baby Im gonna run to meet her 'Neath the shadow of the pines Shes gonna hop that coal train She"ll get off on a Harlan road Love me til the morning comes Leave me like a dream And I'd run to her through tobacco fields And over across the Culvert I'd wade a mile of briar patch, boys Just to touch her skin And I reckon I'm the foolish kind Beckoned to her calling But I cant seem to help myself Let that woman win And if she wants one night Well thatd be just fine Well, somebody fetch my walking cane I'm gonna get my baby Im gonna run to meet her 'Neath the shadow of the pines Shes gonna hop that coal train She"ll get off on a Harlan road Love me til the morning comes Leave me like a dream Buddy all I know is I can't win for losin' Either lay here in this lonely room Or let her have her way Buddy all I need is one night where she dont leave And this one might just be the night where she decides to stay And if she wants one night Well thatd be just fine Well, somebody fetch my walking cane I'm gonna get my baby Im gonna run to meet her 'Neath the shadow of the pines Shes gonna hop that coal train She"ll get off on a Harlan road Love me til the morning comes Leave me like a dream

Context of Harlan Road... He's willing to go to lengths limping along to meet his love, even if it just for one night. She only wants to meet him halfway on her terms. He needs her and he's sobered up. Hes depressed or "down", while he reminisces the good times in her letters. Then she'll leave him like it's nothing to her. Amazing song.

Hands down this is arguably the best cover of this song on KZbin. From a fellow Kentucky boy no less. Tyler is the epitome of a real musician. In a world full of Cardi B's and Justin Bieber's, his originality makes him stand out from the crowd like he's on fire. If I wasn't so familiar with who Pink Floyd is, I'd swear this was one of his originals. Nobody can deny this mans talent. Nose to the grindstone turned me into an instant fan. He paints such a wonderful picture with his words. I'm looking forward to seeing the direction he goes with his music. I'm sure it'll be nothing short of amazing if he keeps the heading he's been on. Nothing but love and respect coming from us here in Corinth, KY.

Ticking away the moments that make up a dull day Fritter and waste the hour in an offhand way Kicking around on a piece of ground in your hometown Waiting for something or someone to show you the way Tired of lying in the sunshine, staying home to watch the rain You are young and life is long, and there is time to kill today And then one day you wake to find ten years have got behind you No one told you when to run, you missed the starting gun And you run, and you run to catch up with the sun but it's sinking Racing around to come up behind you again The sun is the same in a relative way but you're older Shorter of breath and one day closer to death Every year is getting shorter, never seem to find the time Plans that often come to naught or half a page of scribbled lines Hanging on in quiet desperation is the English way The stories done, the song is over, thought I'd something more to say

Thank you Tyler. I just found your Heart. And, it really speaks to mine. My Dad, a former drummer with a Master's Degree, gave me a gold, metal-flake Ludwig drum set when I was 12. They were cool as anything! But I just could not make Music on them but had already fell in love with the sound of the guitar. Been playin' since Summer of '76. Play all alone now. no band. No music pals. Just me, my influences, this guitar, amp and my Lucy dog. Your stuff is just hotter'n possum shit in July. Now, I do have a guy I call my best friend(ain't seen one'nuther for a couple years) but was a time we played guitar and sang together for 6 or 8 hours a day. 3 or 4 if one of ya was in a hurry. Did it for about 8 years or so. Then life just drifted us apart. Now, within them years, he hooked up with this dude that thumped a bit-O-bass. Woody!!! Woody was cool as heck and fit in with me and BennyWayne just fine. We got a few weeks in and was gettin' a sound down. Sit'n around my fabulous near-east-side Indy chateau(a.k.a. Gunfire Ally) Benny says,"Hey boys! Let's go down home and hear some real pickin'!" ..drunk on bourbon, me'n Woody says, "Alright!!!" He(Benny) called daddy *down home and daddy says,"No boys. I believe ya'll better stay where yer at. It's fixin' ta snow down here real bad. Long story short.....We drove 12 hours on a 6 hour trip into the worst snow Letcher Co. KY had seen in 114 years. Think they even had T-shirts made. Slap down at Neon Junction KY. It was the time of my life dude! Your music hits that same BennyWayne, KY chord. Keep it up and maybe one day we'll both be playin' downtown Indy on the Circle. It'd be me, sittin' on the steps with a blood-red Les-Paul nok-off and a Pignose or somethin'.) Peace-Out, Jimmy Jam
