People always keep telling me "you've got everything, why are you like this?" It's not the things, your parents money or the material that matters. It's not the number of people you have around you. It's about you. The way YOU were treated by those close to you, the way YOU perceive the world, the struggles YOU ve been having to complete some ordinary tasks. You are different so don t compare to others. But what we all have to do is to stay alive
@AquariusRevolution5 жыл бұрын
I see you, I appreciate the battles you fight, you're right it's not about comparing pain, it's about having compassion for your own pain and that of others. You know what's ironic, people recognize that certain people are worse off yet do nothing to help, those people should stay quiet in such matters. If they are willing to ask why? they should have the patience to listen not have preconceived notion of whether an individual's pain is valid or not. Collectively as a culture we think so illogically and feel so little that it's really a shame to have all the material things we have because we actually don't know how to use it properly.

@IceMetalPunk4 жыл бұрын
Jared Padelecki, one of the stars of the show Supernatural, had to deal with this, and he's been an outspoken activist about it. He was diagnosed with depression literally on set, and has been struggling with it for a long time. Plenty of people have basically said things like, "You're the star of a huge hit show, you're rich, you have a beautiful wife and kid, tons of friends and fans. What is there to be depressed about?" And he usually goes off on those people. Because like you said, it's not about what you have, it's about how you think, and that's a totally different can of worms. People who don't struggle with mental illness often don't understand what it's like for your own thoughts to be out of your control. It's the scariest part of it all, to me at least, but those who don't know how it feels are just like, "So... don't think like that? Don't think those things? Think positively!" It's a bit like telling a healthy person, "Oh, you like clouds? So just jump real high and touch them!"

Hello, everyone. I'm fan from Russia. I started listening to Twenty One Pilots recently, literally with the release of the album Trench. I don't know much English (even this comment I'm writing via google-translate), and at first just enjoyed the beautifully composed music and Tyler's beautiful voice. But I decided to read the translation of the songs into Russian. Vol... this is amazing. It touched me to tears (I hope the translator did not distort this phrase). In Russia, few people raise such serious topics in songs. It's been a long time since I've heard something so profound and meaningful. These songs really made me think about me and what surrounds me. Songs Pilots comparable to a friendly conversation on a serious topic or reception at the psychologist. After them you... you look on the other side of the world, friends, relatives and what surrounds you. I learned to appreciate what I have and stopped crying about what was and is gone or what I will never have. Thank You, Twenty One Pilots. Your creativity... it's like a breath of fresh air. After your songs really want to live, create, love and appreciate everything.

The concert was amazing!!! However. I felt and heard more emotion in this version because he had no one to perform for. Like his voice is breaking in this one and he is about to cry. However at the concert, he couldn’t get to that point because he was performing and had to go to the next song right away.

3:25 to 3:38 is when you can feel the real power coming from his voice. From that very point it starts to sound like he’s gonna start to shout rather than sing because of how strong the message is.. and when it hits 3:36 his voice cracks because he has to compose himself and stop himself from shouting. It’s a truly powerful message and I can completely understand why this song is needed.
