I coached for quite awhile at youth and HS level in PA. Had “success”. Familiar with RedHawks etc…Great job with this breakdown. Appreciate the insight

Great philosophy at the end. Love the long term thinking and ultimately instilling that the goal is more about constant improvement over “just winning.”

Man I am so glad the youtube algorithm brought me here. What Tyler did was absolutely phenomenal, talk about a performance of the tournament. Love your commentary here and it's clear you really are passionate about coaching and grateful for your time with Tyler. You clearly did an amazing job as his coach. Thank you for taking the time to make this video. I just subscribed to your channel and intend to go through your video log. All the best moving forward

I coached my kid in NJ whose team Southern (Frank Molinaro's alma mater) won 4 State titles & he was Captn of his jr and sr year, was a great nice kid & I was wrong in my coaching technique often, He became a better Wrestler than I was in 8th somehow so I got him into Maurice Worthys hands (NCAA finalist from West Point) & it was the best decision ever! Great job Coach and Ty!!

That’s cool, interesting how that works.. Are you any relation to Mike Galante? I went to Lehigh with him.. Also, I wrestled Molinaro twice in college, I think it was his freshman year, he was super good, beat him in the dual, lost to him at NCAAs, his leg riding was so rough lol, my back was killin me after nationals

Once they slapped those legs in, you weren't getting up or out. Time to look for the out of bounds.

Hey Seth, great video man...thanks for sharing! Like the comment below, I'm glad the algorithm popped this video up at the end of a different one I watched. I did like it and subscribed. Indeed there are now seven 4Xers, but it was great learning there have only been 8 Ultimate Road Warriors and that Tyler was the first true freshman! That's amazing! I think I watched most all his matches this year, and it was great to see him selflessly bump up from 141 to 149, and the amount of muscle he put on by the NCAA tournament was remarkable. Really curious to see how things pan out in the PSU room over the next few years. You are definitely putting out some PA hammers, so keep up the great work sir! I understand kids should do what's best for them, but it would be nice to see more PA talent stay in PA and rebuild programs like Clarion, Lock Haven, Bloomsburg, Edinboro, etc.

I saw a wrestler from Boise State do this about 20 years ago.....no one since.......7 straight wins to bag 3rd......more impressive than a title IMO. Go Tyler!

Hey Seth, I remember you back in the day pulling off the same thing at States your high school senior year. Losing first round in a super tight match wirh Kyle Fluke to wrestle all the way back to 3rd. Was super impressed by you.

lol yep, all of the “it was a fluke” puns from people were out of control, fun fact: first match in the wrestle backs I had was against Quentin Wright, who won NCAAs for Penn State 4 years later, this sport is funny sometimes

Since the Abas family has a long and storied history in the sport of wrestling it would seem you would know how to pronounce the name, no biggie but surprising considering all the NCAA titles and world medals. Incredible commentary, well done.
