At the end of Like Him, it was his mother that was saying all of that, not Tyler. Those words you read came out of his mother's mouth. He's not saying that it's the woman's fault, contrary, it's the women themselves coming to terms with thier own decisions and taking accountability for thier own actions. Mistakes and all..and so is he. Edit: Also, to add, by doing this on the song, it doesn't automatically defend his father's innocence and absolve him from the way he may have mistreated his wife in the past. I'm guessing that Tyler doesn't address that side of the story because he doesn't know him. He's akin to a ghost that Tyler is chasing or, at the very least, curious about. His mother is just acknowledging that, out of spite, She had a part to play in killing that opportunity for Tyler to build that bond. That metaphoric "Killing" is represented as the ghost Tyler is asking about.

Also he isn't "blaming the woman" in "Like Him" it's his mom at the end that is telling him that. She feels bad for her actions and not telling him about his father until now. His whole life his hated his father assuming he was a terrible father but it's his mom that got in the way of his father being there for him, only finding out now

So, i think you didn't really get the end of Like Him. Throughout the album, Tyler's mom is having messages in the beginning of every song, that range from messages to teenage Tyler (in for example Hey Jane, Judge Judy) and in like him, the message wasn't from her POV, it was her speaking, telling Tyler that his dad WANTED to be there for him, WANTED to be in his life but she didn't let him for resentment over how he treated her in the past

Going with production however, IGOR. IGOR really shows his vision as an artist and producer and shows his talent in creating beautiful yet also just banger music. And if you liked the storytelling part of "CHROMAKOPIA", that album could be for you as well! Personally, IGOR will forever be my favorite of his and maybe even one of my favorite albums ever. The only reason that I think Like Him is so important is because Tyler resented his father for not being there, for leaving and choosing to not be in his life and not care about him. Then his mother admits that he did want to be there. This changes your perception on how you view relationships, the bonds you have, and the bonds that you don't have. I don't think that it's him blaming his mom, its really just him coming to terms with everything and how that affects how he looks at himself

@@chris07674yeah how many years ago? he’s 30 now and said that when he was 18-19, in 2009. yes that’s a bad thing to say, but his whole style back then was bringing shock. and he faced the consequences for that. he was banned from places in the UK and Australia. he’s said in interviews that he is a way different person from who he used to be. and he acknowledges he said that hence in his song “pull up old tweets and t shirts i’ll moonwalk over that”. you don’t have to like tyler, that’s fine. but bringing up old stuff that he never acted upon is stupid. ppl can say bad stuff and change and learn and grow from. that happens to so many ppl, just because he is famous it’s blown up more. he hasn’t said anything close to that in his last 4 albums. again I AM NOT SAYING WHAT HE SAID WAS OK. that was disgusting and not ok. but can ppl not grow and change?
