3:40 he went for df2dckf2, good way to intercept greedy options after df2ob which aren’t uncommon cuz steve is stuck in minus in crouch after df2dck,db somwreck both choosing JU there, and also launching the very first ws1,1 attempt, was playing prepared and fast, impressive stuff in game one

In the numan ahsan match, I think ahsan think opting for i10 as a punish is probably a multitude of things, muscle memory included, but also one of those “this shit so good on hit why not” kinda things too, hella plus with good mixup threat right after and lower reward check tools with frames to move after on block into a char like steve is a good value proposition, as opposed to an omega plus damage option that also pushes back considerably, where if you aren’t taking your turn with wr2 you are back to fighting steve in neutral which steve is quite partial to that’s my guess anyway, Sha 2,3 is a really fantastic situation on hit for my money and figuring out oppo’s tendencies after it early on is probably pretty worthwhile

I agree. No way Victor is top 5. I love Farzeen because he plays Victor so a little sad he’s been playing Yoshimitsu of late. Understandable though. Gotta win tourneys.

For steve wall throw, +10 straight, +14 side and like +20ish behind, i know can hopkick as taunt option ofc. The splat option is pab f1+2 (12f) so its like 1 or 2 frames, works off b2 OH and ext dck grab 1 but things like b3,1 and ub2 leave opp crouching. Also for any steves here practice input in heat as F3+4, F, f1+2 cause plinking gives heatsmash

bryan wasn't left in full crouch @ 54:23 tho. Otherwise he would have done fc df 2,1, since that's a proper -14 fc punish.

While I believe that Yoshi is significantly stronger than Victor, Farzeen's Victor is light years ahead of his Yoshi. It's like Victor's strengths are made for Farzeen, and he looks way more comfortable in dealing with his shortcomings, while he really struggles with Yoshi's. His use of the generic df2 is super on point though. On an unrelated note, regarding the KND ws4, only Lili's is safe (at least in T7 and 8). If I'm not mistaken, Jun's and Ling's are like -12/11, tho I always go for jabs if I don't block them too shallow.

To answer your question about using Shaheen's 2,3~df over f2,3, I think you are partially right. 2,3 is used a lot in small tekken to whiff punish, so it's _right there_ for anyone playing Shaheen. But it also gives you a great mixup because you're at (I think) +10 in SNK, so they have to hold SNK 1+2 which at worst puts you at +2, or you can do a slide if you feel risky or I like to do fc,df4~df and continue stressing my opponent. I have a question for you actually. I was playing around with King a few weeks ago, and noticed that his ws2,2 doesn't stand up before it executes. It's completely wild. I haven't tested it directly yet, but I think say Shaheen's fc,df4,(1) mixup gets completely demolished by it. Maybe I'm wrong, but I think I was testing it against Mishima's 112 and thinking it's amazing because you don't have to guess if they do 1 or 11. I'm not a King player, so I haven't looked into it in depth, but I'm wondering if any other characters have this. It seems super strong to have in this game!

King WS+2 high crushes and has been one of the best moves in the game for a while. Kinda goes to show you how strong King is when people don't even mention the move anymore, lol.
@GromaGromaGromaАй бұрын
@@Tyler2k Completely wild. It's so good! Makes me want to play him for that move alone. I guess next best are moves like Drag's fc,df1,4 now that it seems the bug where you couldn't really do it when ducking moves are gone.

I just tested it. King's ws2,2 isn't high crushing _all_ the way. Only like, 90% or so, and Shaheen's fc,df4,1 (the 1 part) actually hits King out of ws2,2 if he tries to punish a blocked sweep. I tried to do the same with Feng's fc,df4,1 thinking it was the same style (I don't play him), but it's not at all. The 1 never really hits if the fc,df4 is blocked, so you should just always go for a punish if you block it. TIL :)
