I have been wanting to do this for quite some time and finally did just that. I have always wondered how car door 6.5” coaxial speaker. would sound in a good enclosure . To my surprise that sound great!

Here's a possible comment in English: Who would have thought that old car speakers could make such great bookshelves? This DIY project turned out amazingly well! Almost bought the rpx65 ones instead of the tx65 which are better build and sound better from what I heard.. great speakers for sure also I got a deal on 2 pairs on eBay but used for $80 hopefully they work well

If it's for your car it depends on how well you dampen / seal up the door. The enclosure does most of the work.

Its peak is actually 45hz. Coz its next peak is 90hz

I did the exact same thing with the pair of pioneer 12 inch subwoofers in the late 1980s when they were built quality in Japan not China. I used a 600 W alpine amp to drive them . With a voltage step up to 14.8 V to the amplifier to a one mega ferret capacitor attached directly to the power input of the amplifier. .7 ft.³ enclosure When I took those enclosures from the house down to the professional stereo installation company that does all the high-end stuff they cannot believe that those were $60 pioneers that were sounding like $700 subwoofers 🔊 Remember, this is the late 1980’s
