I purchased the plans online on an impulse buy. The complete bom was bought at a lumber yard. We have some stuff from our old swing set and are modifying your plans slightly. But it looks really good so far. It's awesome seeing how inadequate everyone else's sets are in the subdivision as this towers over some houses. Thanks for putting this together!

Did you consider pouring eight 6" concrete footings for the two tower 4x4 supports? That is a lot of weight and it will move as the ground moisture increases.

If you did that do you think you could eliminate the frame at the bottom? Then no wood would be in contact with the ground extending the life of the set even longer.

Sweet little helper at 10:28. The "wavy" slide I put in our playhouse actually called for a 2x4 to be hammered into the ground, right under the base/tongue of the slide. Then, you drive a screw through the lip of the slide into that piece of wood. I'm curious, did yours have the same?

Great project! I would recommend changing that climbing wall with those holes with some real climbing wall holds. Kids can stuck their feet on those holes in a worst case cenario. But again, great project.

Used screws that have a self tapping head on the them and the wood was quite wet. There were a few places that I was close to the edge that I still pre drilled.

Excellent work. Only 1 question. It appeared that some of the decking boards were installed with the end grain showing as a "U" instead of the other way. I was always told to put decking boards with the end grain over, the "U" upside down, so that warping wouldn't raise edges and cause tripping.

Very nice build. I'm sure those plans helped a lot. What made you use screws over nails for the fence boards? Seemed like you spent the extra time & money using screws for a insignificant trade off.

I think anything with nails on a swing set is not a good idea...too many changing forces. Fence boards maybe but screws will help hold everything from warping.

I love the bridge idea. My question is: How do you maintain it? Since it is all made of wood...I'm thinking that it would require a lot of sanding and staining--maybe every year??? I'd like to build a structure in my yard and the swings hanging from the bridge caught my eye and is exactly what I want! I want the bridge to go from a large deck/treehouse area to a small platform with a zipline going across the yard. AND, I want to know what I'm getting myself into for the long term. ;) That's my dream anyway...

Bought the plans built the fort. Took me about 40 hours over a 4 week period but I also had to setup and tear down every time I worked on it. The videos are great when you need a little more clarification. I did bury the slanted support beams into the ground... this ain’t going anywhere.

Looks Awesome, better than the ones we grew up with in the local parks, are you intending on painting the timbers, the preservatives used in pressure treatment are not friendly to small children especially if they put fingers in mouths after climbing all over it. A bonus is you can get the kids involved in choosing the colors and help with the painting, this would make a good video.

Hey Tyler, I’m strongly considering purchasing these plans and building this, there is one hesitation/question I have. The only area I have to put this in my yard is on about a 5.5% slope across the length of the swing set (drops 30 inches over 45 feet). I’ve looked into getting the area leveled but it would likely cost several grand. Do you think it’s feasible to build this (and use it) on a slight slope lengthwise? If so, I’m guessing I would want to at least level the soil underneath the base of the two towers? Thank you for any guidance, and great job with the design here! Thanks, Scott
