@@drewcreed2383 hey man, so I’ve been doing a lot of research. I have only ever fished standing up, generally from a tournament setup bass boat (my uncle had me out there every weekend with him when I was growing up and he always had the latest and greatest triton haha). So looking into kayaks that I could stand on, I found Kaku Kahuna and Kaku Voodoo, both of which are paddle boards, made out of kayak material, with options to sit, stand, and kneel. They’re AWESOME. Tyler, when your sitting down, angle your rod tip up higher at 1:00 position. Once you get a bite as you lower rod spin the reel 2 cranks an once your rod tip is horizontal, stop reeling drop rod below horizonal rod tip towards the water say in your head im going to set the hook in your thoughts then set the hook

Just a tip, reel the fish in, keep your rod tip up and don’t grip the blank. Your reel could go in the water. I keep my hand on the handle and leave enough line to guide the fish to my hand or net. Tight lines

what i mentioned, Tyler keeping rod at 1:00 position as you lower rod tip horizontally spin reel 2 cranks stop as you get rod tip horizontal with water stop reeling set rod tip slightly lower than horizontal say in head quickly im going to set the hook. set the hook. all this has to be done quick when reeling line as you lower horizontal to water stop then lower tip past horizontally should be done quick so you don't chance losing bite. I learned this on a youtube channel. I got back into fishing after some years of not fishing an had to relearn an research

I've been fishing my whole life but never with lures, in fact I didn't even believe they caught fish. In 2020 I worked hard to catch fish with them, I caught 7 on a Lure the entire 2020. Most with a Texas rigged zoom bait. This year I've caught 10 already, and 7 of em were today! I've really changed my mind after today. All 7 on a lipless crankbait, including a fat 4 pounder. I came to trf for my bass fishing education. Headed back out there tomorrow

I’ve found that I just let them eat a little longer, and use really sharp hooks like vector Gamakatsu or tro kar and kinda just reel on the fish and then hookset once the line is already tight, that way I’m just finishing the hookset my line already started
