Bass fishing I’ve been doing since I was little and it’s my absolute favorite thing to do, glad you picked it up cuz it sure is a blast. God bless you and your journey, there will be ups and downs of bass fishing, like losing your favorite lure to a snag or to a fish. You must learn some good knots to tie for braid and fluorocarbon line. I make the mistake of not tying a good knot with braid all the time. Also there are ups because you catch a PB or learn how to fish new lures.

Haven’t been bass fish’n for along time, since I started doing saltwater and fly fish’n , hummm maybe you should give fly fishing a try ! 🤔

Just waiting for my rod to come to start fishing again after 3 decades. It was trout fishing where I grew up. Nothing else unless you went saltwater. When we fished trout, if your shadow was projected on to the water in front of you it really made a difference in driving them off. Is that as big a factor with bluegill and bass?
@TylersReelFishing Жыл бұрын
Can be a factor, but not nearly as much as it is with Trout

I recommend st36 or st35 size 2 on ultra wire split rings bc you will get bent out trying swimbaits and remember "DONT STOP" once hooked up to strait boat flip. If you try to play the fish bc trebles your going to lose them right infront of you 💥💬😢😅

I have no issues casting braid on my baitcaster. im currently using 80 pound braid 😆 it casts smooth but I'm sure it's a disaster waiting to happen.
@TylersReelFishing Жыл бұрын
It’s light braid you gotta worry about, not heavy. 80 is overkill though, you are costing yourself casting distance
@Brolly-Unleashed Жыл бұрын
@TylersReelFishing I agree I've still got some reach but I know it could be better I use it for my frog and spider lures in dense lily pads I will be swapping lines soon but I'm pretty new to fishing and didn't know any better. What would be your suggestion for large bass line?

@TylersReelFishing Your content is awesome man. I was wondering if you could bive me feedback. I havent been fishing for bass for long. I am taking all of your advice on bank fishing bit dont seem to be succedding. I have caught 3 dinks and 2 1 pounders and that is it. Could it be my equipment? Have a very small budget. I got my reel off Amazon and my pole from Walmart. It is an Ozark Trail. Also i dont have the same movement on my casts or flips that you do. I actually cant flip at all. The bait doesnt come out of the reel fast enough. It is very frustrating. I am a full-time single dad and i just wanna be able to have my 4 hours of fishing while my son is at school. But itbisnt very fun with all these problems. Sorry that was very long. Any advice?
@TylersReelFishing Жыл бұрын
Thank you for the question! I think you are dealing with two things here: 1. You are new to this activity, which, as a whole can be very challenging and confusing. So don’t feel bad that you are inexperienced, that’s just the way it is right now. 2. The areas you are fishing are most likely not chocked full of Bass. So you are trying to learn in an environment that makes it hard to catch and confirm what you are learning. Just watch as many of my bank videos, and beginner videos as you can, I promise you will eventually find more success

Do you or anyone else have some tips for fishing ponds with largemouth and spotted bass that are often fed live worms, fish food, etc. instead of baitfish? Just got skunked after 6 hours of pond hopping 3 ponds and sight fishing massive bass and not a single bite.

Hi Tyler, new sub here. You may have mentioned it before but do you ever eat bass that you fish. If so, how often and out of which types of water bodies? Tyia! Btw: because of you, I caught a lot of bass and only started bass fishing about 2 months ago
@TylersReelFishing Жыл бұрын
Howdy, so glad to have you along for the ride! No, I do not eat bass. There’s nothing wrong with them, I just don’t like the filleting process as I am not that good at it. I also prefer eating fish like tilapia, Trout, and salmon, which I can easily buy from the store.
