That last razor cutter thingy was gnarly. Imagine being careless and not paying attention and your finger goes in there. The razor blade snapping was also a concern so not surprised that happened! That's why you'd need one of those old fashion branch cutters as they have a lot more meat and power behind the cut. The twisting part is pretty common when you're using too much power(like a hard branch) and not properly aligning the blades. Beside cutting yourself by accident I'd be scared of the razor blade shattering when you apply too much force and it shatters potentially flying toward the user.

Electronics techs from copiers to small appliances use these: 1. Philips screws suck and fall everywhere 2. You can’t just have 4 screws usually 10 or more when taking something apart (brother in law to the engineer owns a screw company ) 3. Multiple bits: yes - 2 types of Phillips or a torx bit or 2 for more modern assembly lines not to mention washers, connecting posts and snap rings. They could improve the fit with an elastic sleeve and/or better Velcro strap system. Smaller more powerful magnets are available now…watch for improvements.

Easiest way to strip a screw. Step 1: get the right bit. Step 2: insert but into an impact. Step 3: drive it down. Step 4: keep driving it down with the impact at a 45° angle. And there you have it. (Seen someone do this at work "trying to pull the screw out")

Sometimes you can use a torx bit to remove a stripped out screw. Also, for the magnetic writs band, you would never swing your arm like that if you are working putting screws or nails in. You would definitely never use if for hanging large wrenches or hammers off of. What I get from this video is this guy has a preconceived bias against these tools and very little real world experience in construction. That magnetic wristband would cave been very useful when I was working up in my unfinished attic this weekend and needed a free hand do hang on to things so I didn't lose my balance while walking across the joists. I needed to drill holes, screw in screws and use a few different bits. This would have allowed me to carry the bits, screws and washers on my wrist, freeing up my hand from having to carry my screws and box of bits saving me an extra trip back and forth. This would also be handy while working on a ladder.

The magnetic wrist sleeve is useful if you’re doing hvac service work for holding onto screws you have to remove to get to the guts of ac units

Anyone who hates on the magnetic wrist band has not used one! I was super skeptical when I got this thing as a gift....said I'd never use it. Super handy when you are up on a ladder not having to reach into your tool belt...

I love how you prove an item does exactly what it claims, but then bash it for breaking when doing something it was never intended for. Just like the rest of us!

You have to use the wrong size bit to strip a screw. If you’re using the the right size bit for the screw it will always work especially the new fangled bits of today

The speedouts, even the cheaper ones, work effectively. I purchased a set and proceeded to drill into the screw head. Afterwards, I flipped the bit, but here's where I made a mistake. I attempted to use the drill in reverse, thinking it would work, but that was incorrect. The correct way to use it is to keep the drill in the same direction. One side of the speedout drills into the screw head, while the opposite side helps in screwing it out. It's a common mistake that many people make, regardless of the material they are made of they work when correctly used.

So for the snips, I had a pair similar to that, years ago, that I used for work. I did office wall installs, and they came in really handy for cutting the plastic and rubber trim. Also, there are usually extra blades in the base of the handle 😉

We use those razor shear things for cutting stops/seals on garage doors. Much better cut than a grinder/cutoff tool or a sawzall… assuming its not too cold out.

Just got to the segment about the magnetic wrist band. I work HVAC Residential service. That actually would be pretty helpful to keep track of all screws you take off. Can’t tell you how many times I’ve lost one or two screws and I have no clue where they go. Even if I set them on the disconnect box or somewhere close I always manage to use one and a magnetic tray works but it would be convenient to have on the wrist.
