I liked this a lot when I first heard it but was trying to find everything at once so got a little lost. Now I've listened to it so many times and followed the Haraguchi san bass and Muratatams drums to guide me through the song I'm thinking this is one of Nemophila's best songs now. A fraction behind Life but just a small one. I just have to get the lyrics next. They might be the tear jerker type.

Edit: LIFE is untouchable at #1 for me as well. There are more than a few of us hunting for the lyrics of this. Otobokegaijin6218 is very connected to the music scene in Japan, and he said basically this is about caring for and not wanting to lose someone special. He said he found an unofficial translation, but it's not very accurate to what he understood MAYU to be singing. More to follow. Peace. 🤘😁🤘

@@waterwalker9600 Yep. Life is like the bands team song isnt it Waterwalker. I saw the website that has a translation but I think I'll wait for something more official. Japanese isn't an easy language to translate from what I've seen. Maybe I should get Mayu to sing the lyrics into my phone on the talking app I got for my Japan trip🤣.

They really surprised a lot of people with this one. It really shows they are so much more than a cover / heavy metal band. These ladies are excellent musicians. And it shows how good Mayu really is with her vocals. I know some Japanese but not enough to catch the jest of this song. That said, Mayu is so good at putting across the emotions of the song. You can't help but feel it. I would love to see them do more songs like this.

They literally came in like a Wrecking Ball with the chorus...and all parts of the song reminiscent of other things too. Sublimely played and produced and a great listen...just more originality will match their potential, but they're on a good path.

And yes, it is Mayu as in "Mye-oo". And most people just call Haraguchi-san by her nickname, "Hara-chan".

It's a nice song and I'm not mad they did it - I like to see them changing stuff up and wandering around the various genres - but they could do this in their sleep. A nice performance from Mayu, and as she finds screaming the easiest to do, it may have been a minor challenge for her (which she did beautifully) but there's really nothing here to stretch them. In fact there's barely enough here to wake them up. But it's a pretty song. When my copy of the new album arrives, I won't skip this track.

They have actually done several ballads, including at least three originals. No metal band can claim all -around greatness unless they can pull off a tear-jerking ballad for good measure. Nemophila passed that test.

Agreed: Mayu really showcases just how emotive and skilled a singer she is, even when not using her signature fry screams. The "weapon of mass charisma" is also a very, very skilled musician. I also love how the rest of the band is just perfect here: no one remotely overplays (since a ballad like this should feature the vocalist), but each still add so much. I'll have to wait for the credits on this, but it wouldn't surprise me to find out that Tamu Murata played the piano and synth parts: she's a skilled keyboardist along with being one of the best drummers in metal today. This is my favorite band in the world, and their incredible versatility is one of the (many) reasons.

I really love this song but i think mayu's vocals were overprocessed in some parts, specially during the verses.
