Thanks for the video. The time lapse really is great. Amazing how important and easy it is to use a soft pad and a little oil to clean all the parts... get rid of carbon build up and oil / water from the rods etc. Nothing like a good clean... Im sure this video will come in useful for VW bus rebuild guys in the coming years!

the driver side head is not damage from a bolt, it is from erosion on the aluminum as well as bad casting. you should NOT have to use a ratchet on the valve spring compression tool.

Possibly I do agree in sorts, that is the head that had the closed valves so it wasn't open to the elements. But did seem excessive especially for both chambers. And very true it should if adjusted correctly i guess I just have wimpy arms haha

@@hifivegarage6977 some of the older ones had bad casting with sand left in the aluminum, all it takes a little to open up a can of worms
