Yeah! It’s a beautiful thing when you master wash n go. I’ve doing them only since 2019.. I didn’t know how to do (it was always a fail ) but now I do them non stop even with our cold wheater . My best combo so far have been the milk and gel from upnorth natural , the uncle funky gel alone and lately use the Miche beauty leave in with those gel.

Your hair turned out beautiful! I love kinky curly knot today and pair with their curling custard. I've heard people complain of stickiness, and that was an issue the first time, until I realized I used waay too much. The second time I tried the results were much better. It makes my hair super shiny and moisturized, provides wonderful hold and has healthy ingredients. Aside from my back section of hair being very fine and a little looser curl pattern, the rest of my hair is pretty coarse and low porosity...plus I live in a dry climate. I mainly love that combo bc most gels have glycerin which is a no-go for me.

Ahh, you and hubby are so cute. I still struggle with wash and gos, twist outs work best on my hair. I’ve tried doing it in the shower and out of the shower and it still a fail, but I’m determined to get to the perfect wash and go one day😀

Happy NY :) After the hooded drying, try banding vertically with the satin scrunchies instead of pineapple-ling. The hair will dry stretched in the direction you want (& you won't have to rework & blow dry the roots = less manipulation).

This video is right on time--as I'm planning to wash n go this evening and sit under the dryer before I go to bed! Haven't done one since Oct! My favorite leave-in is the Camille Rose Naturals Honey leave-in. I know people don't like that it feels like honey, but it is the perfect consistency to penetrate my hair and mix well with stylers--especially with gels for wash n go's. Your results are beautiful!! I still find myself dying for the makeup tutorial when I watch your videos! Your makeup is stunning! 😍

@@IydaMichael Update: Now I'm reconsidering the Honey leave in for my wash n go! My hair is super greasy but still super frizzy. Not sure if I didn't use enough gel or used the wrong gel (Kinky Curly) or if it was technique. I'm starting to think I need to shingle every strand. It's frustrating to still not have a fool proof wash n go after 11 years natural! But, I did have better results using Camille Rose Honey Leave-in with Eco Styler (the one with Jamaican Black Castor Oil) AND with Camille Rose Curlmaker. Anyway, looking forward to the next video! ❤

I am very thankful for your video, I am living in Germany so it is very difficult to take care of my natural hair because it's not very common here. So I am literally forced to inform my self on KZbin. I always see people on KZbin with a similar hairtexture like ours and they are like "I put a very small amount of curl smoothy in my hair and tada, perfect soft curls." You are the first KZbinr who has to struggle with low porosity hair I ever saw and now I know, that all these very expensive hair products does not work for me, because of that. So thanks a lot for showing some more diversity in between all these easy to handle 3c/4a hair tutorials. I am a little bit sad, that the ingredients of your gel are not that "good" (I am a Biology student, I have to know). But it feels very good to know right now, that my hair isn't eather damaged or rare, it's just low porosity 😅. Thanks a lot and sorry for my bad English 😅.

this is by far your best filmed wash and go .Did you ever tried the ecoslay's jello shot ? apparently it's a really mositurizing gel with botanical ingredients , a lot of youtubers with thick hair liked it .

Wash and goes seems sooo easy, but I just can't master it. It never comes out define. I have 4A/4B hair as well. It defines on it's own to the most part...but when I but gel in, all my curls die. Maybe I'm adding too much leave in? Or too much gel? Idk 🤷🏾‍♀️. I would love to do more wash and goes for moisture retention, really...but it looks crazy.

Have you ever heard of a natural hair care company by the name of Earthtone Naturals? They are located in Ontario, Canada. Apparently they have hair gels that work very well on type 4 hair. One of their gels is called Curl Define: Curl Enhancing Gelly and the other one is Curl Define: Max Curl Enhancing Gelly. In addition to producing very defined wash and go’s , the hair gelly also leaves your hair soft and shiny. I would love if you made a video for both gels.

I haven't heard of them but I will definitely look into them because I have been looking for a gelly or creme gel for curl definition and softness and volume but so far the ones that I have tried did not work well with my hair they weren't string enough!

I recently got the Curl Max gel and I like it so far. It locks in the texture, while providing a flexible hold. I like the shine too and it’s not drying. I saw Abena of the channel Embrace Natural Beauty try it. I use it on top of Kinky-Curly Custard or Uncle Funky’s gel to provide hold. Would the Gelly serve the same purpose paired with a curl enhancer, or is it best used on its own?

Finally tried the Smoothing lotion and it is the first product to completely soak into my hair, I wanted to keep adding more and more and my hair felt amazing. I do wonder if I got the batch you got because it foamed a lot as well. Update us if you think Curl Junkie has definitely changed!

Yes! I'm so happy you tried it out and it worked well for you. I am thinking of contacting them to ask them if there has been any formula changes and will update! :) I remember it to be a bit more thicker in consistency and less foam and more moisturizing.

Wetline is great but it dries my hair out no matter what leave in I use. My perfect wash in go is Melanin leave in and uncle funky daughters curly magic. Your hair turned out beautiful! ❤️

I find that it’s a bit drying for me in winter but not in the summer because the humidity helps keep the moisture in. The uncle funky daughter curly magic did not provide enough hold for me unfortunately! My hair needs a strong hold!
