What stood out to you from the video? Is there anything you agree or disagree with?

As an eight, I identify most with Elijah. When wounded he retreats into the wilderness, only to come out, and absolutely destroy for Justice.

8s speak loudly, strongly and love to argue from time to time to blow off steam. They don't care if there are people around. And they are going to feel attacked easily. They will feel attacked, for example, if you try to mother them in a way they feel is a bit forceful. They don't care about your 'good-intentions'. Either you can deal with that or you won't be able to have a relationship with them. And they have all the other qualities a great human needs to have. Fantastic video!!

They best advice you gave; which I confirm, is that you need to stand your ground with 8s. If you get offended, close up or can't argue your point and become emotional, they won't respect you even if they love you. And you need them to respect you or the relationship will be much worse than it could be. Don't be hysterical. Stay firm.

This 8 sees in 360 degrees of grey and not just black and white. This 8 relates the most to those with physical disabilities and those with chronic illness so way more emotional intimacy.

As an eight I can agree that healthy eights have the ability to bring people, they have faith in, to their full potential. I enjoyed your video! Greetings from Germany

I was skeptical when I was told that I was an 8. As I listen to this, and a few other videos, there is no doubt that I'm an 8... moving more toward a healthy 8 :)

Never thought about the kid thing. Man, my nephew was THE cutest baby in the world. That kid and I loved each other so much. We still do, but when he was a baby💗

As a female 8, I find my sub type also has a strong influence. My sub is social so it mellows me a little. But I *can* be a “full on” 8😅

I co-led my church with a Social 8. I love that wiring a lot!

I’m an 8 but I’m slow to trust so it takes me awhile to get physical. Is that backwards?

That's helpful feedback. I'd love to hear if other Eights feel the same way. Nuance is needed here it sounds like.

Haha! The 8 defense mechanism is denial. Suzanne Stabile told me a few days ago that 8s need to STOP and consider that they might be wrong more than they think.

This is my baby 🥺 My big tough 8. He’s a correctional officer with a big temper and a short fuse and I get to see that warm childlike innocence when he comes to rest his head on my lap for neck rubs. I’m a healthy 2

I think there is a very large caveat you're missing here, there is a distinction between an introverted 8 and an extroverted 8.
@gospelforenneagram Жыл бұрын
Are you a more introverted 8? If so, tell me more about how you relate in relationships. I'd like to learn.

@@gospelforenneagram I'm an INTJ 8, I'm a fearful avoidant instead of the standard dismissive avoidant, it feels like if a persons mbti doesn't match up with the standard Enneagram, then everything gets turned on its head.

Kinda heavy on the unhealthy side this video..? Idealistic tiny bit too. I suggest you should check out Dr. Tom LaHue, fellow 8 who has more approachable take on things. entp 8w7

I highly recommend Tom LaHue. He's great. But he's a Type 7 by the way.
