8w9 married to a 6w7. With my 9 wing, I am more than happy letting my circumspective and diligent partner hold the reigns. I vouch for them and assure them of their competence (which they often doubt). They feel loved when I come to bat for them, being the social sledgehammer or the one making the tough phone calls when the need arises. I feel loved when they are on my team, support my decisions, and trust my discernment. The best thing about the 8/6 combo is the ride-or-die mentality. We overcome or go down in flames together, never abandoned or betrayed.

My dad is an 8, my mother a 6 and I'm a 4 😂. We are constantly reacting to each other's actions and assuming intentions. You can imagine the rollercoaster: Spicy 100%. Anyhow, I love my parents, I'll send my mom this video who is now alone with my dad as I just recently got married and she is way more into the enneagram (but not KZbin) than me. Btw, I love these new series of videos but I can't wait to have 4 and 1 (me and my wife) but I don't expect that to happen any soon given the direction you are heading towards 😢. Anyhow, great vids!! I love your content!! ❤🎉

You're right about the direction of the video order, but on the bright side, I'm a 1 and my closest friend is a 4, so I have plenty to say on the topic 😅 Congrats on your marriage btw! And best of luck living with all those Type 1... particularities ;) At least your home should stay nice and clean!

My sister is a counter phobic 6 and I’m a 8. We hated each other growing up and were always having conflicts. In our teens years we figured out our relationship and now she’s absolutely one of my best friends that knows me so well. Still a lot of heat between us at times but we both like it haha. If we are together, we can get anything done and handle any kind of challenge.

My husband is an 8, and his sister is a 6. This explains their relationship. They are inseparable and would kill for eachother. Unfortunately, this causes them to be blind to everyone else in their lives, even their spouces and kids. They both can't control their anger, and since they worship each other, all the problems they create with their unhealthy relationship is everyone else's fault.

You could do a video just on how 6's treat 8's in general. My experience as an 8 is that 6's do not need any reason. I can dial myself up and down as an 8. Should I need to do is walk into a room and be any degree towards my authentic self, then 6's will unconsciously decide I am not of their tribe and treat me accordingly.

I love your videos! I feel like I learn something new everytime I watch you! Question for you, you talk about how the enneagram six would prefer not to be the leader in the relationship, and it made me start wondering which enneagrams prefer to the leader in the relationship. I am a type eight so I know that eights have a tendency to take the leader role. However, I know that I would like to be lead in a relationship. Which male enneagram type do you think pairs best with someone like me (8w9 who wants to be lead)?
