Mannn look at Peter and Kenny suffering and Johnny (the only one who never fell into addiction) having the time of his life. Stay away from cocaine and alcohol kids..
@user-xb7dp4vu3r8 ай бұрын
Yes, very sad for these two. I can see Peter dealing with abism. His brain is a prisioner of alcohol, and his body the extention and representation of it. On the other hand, like you say, Johnny is having a lot of fun, even if he's also drinking and smoking (but not intoxicated). Playing with the cameras and audience 😅😂😂😂

The 2009 shows Ware pretty good. His voice and playing were tight and lively. He was actually enjoying himself
@Thre11523 ай бұрын
@PeterSTIHL At some point he just couldn't sing well anymore, in his final years, even if he might have been sober at the end. On Dead Again you can also hear that his vocal quality has declined and studio recording conditions couldn't conceal that. I saw them 1994 and it was awesome. You can also hear it in other videos from 1993 until some years later that his live singing was almost perfect. Full and loud, clear for deep and higher tone.

ToN always make me feel sad. Maybe 'cause i think of Peter's death and life...He did not love to be on stage,not to go on tour...he wanted to stay home with his cats. He missed them so much.I often think about his life without drug and wine...and ask to myself how it could have been. I'll never have an answer,i know. I think about his real soul,his way to be far from stage...he was a good person. That makes me sad everytime...
@stellai068 ай бұрын
He shoudn't have been onstage as long as he was not at least getting better. He looks very sick. I suspect that he was under the obligation of touring (contract? financial difficulties?). Also: healthcare is TERRIBLY expensive in the US. And there is no such thing as universal access.

I've been trying to find fan recorded footage of this concert for years! I couldn't stand the official recordings due to Pete's pitch corrected vocals. Never knew that they played profit of doom this show. Thank you for this video!
@Jakob.Matz.Audio.Poesie6 ай бұрын
I remember that concert. My position was more in the center of the crowd and 20 meters behind the recording cam of this video. Havent seen the video yet. So I can tell, what I remeber (without refreshing the memories). And reporting from them. Including failures and missmemories. Peter Steele was unable to sing. He just yelled the songs and walked around on stage with wine and Jägermeister (near the end of the show). From time to time he left the stage. May be to snort some coke or because he was down / depressed, because the audience saw his shitty performance and wasn`t amused. The other bandmembers took him back on stage. The music was great and specially the keyboarder and the drummer did good jobs. Remember Pete Steels rotten teeth on the screens above the stage. I was dissappointed of that show. And for privatly reasons in a bad mood, too. So the bands chances keeping em good in my mind, were bad from the start. But still wanted to see em, because they were one of my favorite bands in that years. Guess the song "Dead Again" from their last album was recorded for serious reasons. But happy to read, that he went clean in his last times on earth. Would have liked to see them performing again, when the band was sober and back on track. Keep sober and happy, who ever you are, dear reader.

It's a fascinating discussion about what they did to the vocals on the official release. To my ears, I can definitely hear some major additions. And that's not like a revelation or breaking news. But hearing this, even knowing it's a cell phone video and accounting for it's microphones quality or lack thereof, and the distance and location of the person recording, you still can hear a mile away that this was not a good vocal performance in the slightest.

This is brutal to listen to, with or without the autotune. I've never heard Peter sound like this. He's just slurring his words the entire time. I didn't know why they autotuned him until now.

Is that a serious question? Cokebumps, the drips, and drinks. Plain & simple. There was a time when Pete HATED breaks in live performances because they kill the energy. But years later, his priorities changed to powder. Allllll the rest was just details.

I know his vocals are imperfect and his enunciation slurred. But honestly, I don’t think the raw vocals are that bad. He’s clearly struggling but his singing is actually not that off pitch and his power is still there. I also enjoy the autotuned version too. lol. Gives it a different feel. Peter was always an imperfect singer live but he always sounded so powerful and mesmerizing.

What a surprise, sad surprise with this video... I thought the official version was ok, but this... This is the original one. And here, ladies and gentleman, we can hear (and see) the misery, the crap performance (and state) of Peter Steele. Very lame... This is my advise: stay away from drugs and alcohol.
