I love the fact you refer to your company as we not me, I or mine. Making your staff feel included makes a massive difference to morale. It's always great to see the guys smiling and chatting to you as a friend as well as an employer. You deserve all that providence brings your way. Regards from Scotland.

Would love to had these guys to work with myself! Might would have made the tree industry a longer career than it was for me. #StaySafe #StayHumble #EnjoyTheRide

Yep…it used to drive me crazy when my old boss would say, “I bought this truck…”, when I was the one who found it and suggested it as a good buy; or “I did that work…”, when he wasn’t even on the job site; or when he referred to the crew as “My boys…” which I always found SUPER derogatory!;…or any time he acted like he was the only one with a vested interest in making sure the company was successful!

Yep, the crooks and criminal operators of the business will do their best to take him out as fast as they can when he gets going on his own. They always do and that's why we have too many bad actors in all areas of the contracting industry now. :(

Dear August & Team. Hi from across the Pond. I can't tell you how refreshing it is to see you keep your mistakes in, & honestly own up to them! In all my years dealing/ working with 'Timber Men' I can't say I remember anyone owning up in a hurry, & that includes me! So very well done, you are a credit to Arborists & a role model to all those who work in Timber production. As far as Haters & armchair criticizers are concerned, please just ignore them. They ain't worth it. Put them 80+ feet up a dead tree & see what they call you then! They are smart Asses with big mouths, & I bet you they don't work. Thank you so much for your excellent videos when I'm struggling with my Autism & struggling to push away bad thoughts, I watch you & Buckin & self loading timber lorries loading & unloading & taking me back to my young days. I too love it that your boy is with you, let's hope he gets saw chips in his blood like we have doing the job we love. Very Kind regards Philip. West Wales, UK.

August I am a new subscriber to your channel and have really enjoyed watchin several of your older videos. it is very clear to me that you have quite the passion for your trade. Not only that but the respect you give to the team mates that work with you. Also the respect you gave to others in your profession along with the tributes to those who are not with us any more, Thank you so much for the very good videos and comments you have given. I spent my work live working in a coal mine 3500 feet down and 8 miles back in and did not think twice about it but when I see you working in the tops of the trees you work on amazes me. Safety for me was always number one as it is for you and your team. Thank you again and I am looking forward to you and your team doing great work

I assume it costs a customer a little more when they want to keep the wood, since you have the labor of limbing and bucking vs shoving the whole thing into the chipper? @JustJimJr5 жыл бұрын
Also wondering? I've seen some good deals on smaller cranes. Wondering if one has to have a special specific license even for a small crane? I hear per hour they get big$$$$$.... I'm just a 1man, truck n trailer, a chainsaw (3), in a small farm town of maybe 4K people. Jobs are tricky when it's hard to find good help, but big money not to difficult to find. Just not steady work. Enjoy it much!

Go Wyatt. Top job, and wasn't he stoked to be doing it. Heck, he'd have paid August for the opportunity. Lads like that are just what August wants in his team. It got very weird from 6:45 where we saw the climber giving us a point of fixed reference for the top, so when it started moving it looked like the tree was still and the world was moving around it! Entire religions are made from moments like that. All bow down to the tree God that is the center of the universe.
@brettblack70495 жыл бұрын
Those religions start because people worship the created and not the creator 😉
