Naomi is down playing what Tyra is saying. It may not be life threatening, but to Tyra it was very hurtful and this woman was bullying her. Naomi was probably jealous and intimidated by Tyra and felt like she would upstage her career. Let’s face it no one in that industry wants to share the spotlight! I believe she did a lot of sneaky nasty things behind Tyra’s back. Now she is faking it like she doesn’t remember anything, trying to still act like it trivial. It obviously effected Tyra a lot. Black women in the industry needs to recognize the same old divide & conquer that whites like to do to us. They always pit black stars against each other, like there never can be more than one superstar! Get smart and unite.

The Versace statement that Naomi actually says in this interview is way different than what’s always shown in the “Do you even know Gianni Versace” meme. She actually says “Did you ever know Gianni Versace?” and it’s not even in a feisty tone like the meme implies. It always shows “know” in italics and all caps to imply she emphasized it in a condescending tone. That’s not the way she says it here at all, in fact both of them are very mature and calm the entire time. People will do anything to make female celebrities seem shady or like divas. It’s EXACTLY like the topic they’re discussing in this interview, the fans, media, and the press will take the tiniest little moments and blow them out of proportion to seem like there is drama.
@Firespawnable5 жыл бұрын
Naomi knew Gianni Versace for 11 YEARS Naomi didn't believe Tyra's story about Gianni because it didnt sound like him. Naomi says in a disbelieving tone. *"Did you ever know Gianni Versace???"* Tyra hesitates then says, "...No." LOL This after Tyra had told this WHOLE STORY about Gianni Versace. And Naomi got Tyra to admit that she didn't even know Gianni Versace. So Naomi caught Tyra LYING about Gianni Versace. *"Did you ever know Gianni Versace?"* the quote IS shady and it IS a diva moment because Naomi put Tyra in her place with just ONE sentence.

why does “standing up to your bully” mean so much to you people? isnt it better to just move on from the pain the bully gave you? because honestly its not the “bully”, it was the feelings the bully gave you. standing up to your bully doesnt mean anything if you wont move on from the feeling your bully gave you. there will never be any closure. that is why a lot of us see tyra as victimizing herself in this interview. bec no matter what naomi says, it doesnt matter if tyra isnt letting go of what naomi made her feel.

I'm not saying one or the other is right, but Naomi always came off to me a bit "psychopathic". She has that vibe. She seems not to care if she hurts people and of her it seems not to mean anything. Sometimes for the bully "it's not that deep", because they can't see how their actions can have lifelong effects on their victims. And maybe Naomi didn't know she was affecting Tyra so much and really thought that it wasn't so deep... but she could've at least say sorry (in a meaningful way) in front of the cameras. Tyra says she did so on the commercial brake, but why not show regret on camera? Because she wants to keep a façade for the cameras?

tyra: you said something like 'youll never be me' naomi: i know who i am as a person, i wouldnt say that to anyone also naomi: tells that white girl nicole 'youll never be me' i think that says a little bit about naomi campbell as a person.

And they won't. Models should be themselves
@шанталь-ж8ц4 жыл бұрын
Noami was talking to a girl who wasn’t even a professional, trying to make it big in the modeling industry and Noami herself was a judge and mentor. If someone of that status is back chatting like that to Noami, who has been in the game for DECADES, she deserved it. If Noami was telling the truth it makes sense that she wouldn’t say that to another successful model like Tyra.
@KatyPerry95994 жыл бұрын
GIMME GIMME LOVE everyone starts from somewhere. and if that was the case, she shouldnt have said "i wouldnt say that to anyone" 😐
@шанталь-ж8ц4 жыл бұрын
G she can’t predict the future decades away. How would she have known not to say that? How would she have known the amount of disrespect a newbie would give her? Point is, Naomi was well respected in the industry at that time, so it’s obvious why she wouldn’t expect newbies coming in and acting like their the shit.
@KatyPerry95994 жыл бұрын
GIMME GIMME LOVE lol its not about "how would she know not to say that".. if you are a celebrity its obvious that anything you say can and will be used against you. as a mentor, naomi should always be professional and if she had not let her personal feelings get in the way of that incident and how she treated tyra, she would not have to worry about this entire thing.

Lmao Naomi, “it’s not that deep”
@gne7915 жыл бұрын
Truth of the matter is Naomi is not the problem of Tyra. Tyra just subconsciously meditated on the negativity from the modeling industry and Naomi was part of it. She needed to have overcome it. but since she didn't, the negative thought grew in her so much that it still affects her now. Lesson of the day, always forgive and move on, if not, you might carry the burden of pain all through out your life.
@kaykayqueen3055 жыл бұрын
i think so but i also feel certain things are too hurtful to one person that it takes a long time move on, not everyone is the same and that the case with naomi and tyra.

This is FACT not FICTION: The type of people who have been bullied in life are supposed to be “Sensitive” beings....They are supposed to be more on the empathetic side of the scale. They are supposed to be LEADERS of the NEW way by standing up to “BULLIES” as a whole. People who have been severely BULLIED normally or often tend to seek “Psychological” evaluation due to the immense although intense nature of that said “Bully” negative impact that they had on their life. The bullied person then strives to attain a level of understanding that in due time the universe will have the last day with that person in any aspect of their life. I also believe that the person whom was said to have been bullied does not want or need to emulate ANYTHING that will remind them of their tormentor bc it would then trigger their thought process into over drive thinking about those things that was once done to them. So in all actuality I just saw this interview as a way to not only make folks judge another person off of the sheer fact of another person’s thoughts but I also see it as trying to bring in followers to look at that person in the same light you do bc in the end NO ONE WHO WAS BULLIED WANTS TO BE LIKE THEIR BULLY PERIODT...., and that’s that on that 💋

This interview, the conversation between these two women, was truly a powerful moment. I admire Tyra for confronting Naomi and speaking her peace. I admire Naomi for being there, hearing Tyra out and offering some explanation even if there are some things she does not want to fully admit. Kudos to both of these women for this conversation. Takes a lot of courage to have these type of conversations and it shows us that people can communicate each other, emotionally evolve and possibly build a civil connection despite a possible bully situation and that both can evolve. After I watched this, I had a newfound respect for both women. I used to have a negative view of Naomi, but I don't anymore after this show. She was willing to be there and hear Tyra out without being defensive. Amazing show.

True I was willing 2 hear it out. But if this all never happened. Could I of told u why I sometimes hate myself. Naomi has alot of energy 2 things way way b4 I turned 18. And why can't Tyra banks have her dreams and Naomi can have hers. Ok Naomi is troubled because she always helping others. And she would give a fuck alot. Naomi was always helping others no bad intentions. Can Naomi if she has a bus pass and she dont need it no more give it 2 u. And u dont need 2 owe me anything at all

I think bullying sucks and it’s hurtful and Tyra has every right to feel hurt but I’ll be damned if I’m gonna beg my bully for an apology. You go, write in your diary, vent to a gf, and you ignore that person. Like, why the need for validation for someone who obviously has such little regard for you?

I agree I should of communicated this more. Because Naomi does not communicate effectively to a point like a phone call or something or face 2 face. If this was one of the hardest moments in Tyra’s life, if the “bullying” by Naomi was true and as impactful on her as she claims. Wouldn’t she be a kinder person to the young models on ANTM? Wouldn’t it mean that much more to her to protect the vulnerability of those young models on her show? Instead she gaslit them, insulted them and instilled fear in them the same way she’s describing above. Personality wise, I would strive to be more like Naiomi although she is flawed at moments such as when she loses her temper- I feel that she is fair and is respectful until someone crosses her. Even the moments she loses her temper it’s justified because her boundaries were crossed. She knows exactly who she is and no one can tell her different. I think that’s what intimidates Tyra and that’s not Naomi’s problem. Lol

I don't have any reason to believe that Tyra is not telling the truth. I can feel that she is being very spontaneous and open about that time that was very painful for her. I don't think Naomi is a bad person and there is probably reasons for why this happened. I know that she was such a perfectionist however in this interview she does make it seem that her modelling career wasn't such a big deal, but it was
@princepeterwolf5 жыл бұрын
She said the same exact thing to Nicole, so I believe Tyra. On the other hand, Naomi as a model is in a class of her own. Tyra was destined to other things

Tyra has seen Naomi as the villain in her head for so long she isn't even willing to listen to her side of her story. Tyra really likes playing victim. But I think Naomi has had an equally hard life but she acts unbothered and doesn't even want to bring it up as much

Wow Naomi's a triple threat here. Supermodel, therapist, mother. I can't with Tyra.
@reiAYANAMI19926 жыл бұрын
I don't understand why so many people here, criticize Tyra for confronting her bully. Naomi felt that Tyra was more beautiful and it totally intimidated her. That's what bullies do, that's what jealous, envy women do. They want to bring down someone who they admire in a furious jealous way. And it's not wrong at all, to confront your bully. You can see deep into Tyra's eyes that she is still hurt and feels scare of this woman. Naomi is very attractive but in no way (and this is my opinion), she is beautiful like Tyra.So Naomi felt above Tyra that's why she bullied her. I applaud Tyra for doing this, bullying is everywhere and not just in the children's world. This also happens in the adult world too.And why did Tyra did this on tv and not private? Because it's the media who brought all of this too. All of this competition and bad gossip about them too. So the people needed to know about what really happened between this two women and how Tyra felt.(sorry about my English, is not my native language).

It's sad how the beauty industry tried to peg two beautiful women against each other, making one who came first inferior of the next girl coming in, like tyra said in another interview why can't we both be successful? it seems racist to peg the two pretty black girls against each other.

Now that I'm thinking about it, Naomi was discovered at only 15 years old to start a high fashion modeling career so she pretty much grew up in this fashion industry ( spoiled in a sense "brat" in the industry) and in this world of fashion that is very conpetitive and sometimes vain not to mention at the time she was the only black highy paid, most used model in the industry. She had built her career and brand so when Tyra, another beautiful black high fashion model with great potential came along Naomi was threatned that someone much younger was coming to steal her place so through Naomis own insecurities she did everything in her power to intimidate and tear Tyra down and although for Tyra that was a tough position to be in ( especially at such a youg age) at that time I wish she had remained STRONGER! in the industry until the end, but I Love the fact that Tyra was still successful in the fashion industry for the time that she was there as well being creative and fierce in business outside of the fashion industry ( she proved she had beauty and brains!) either way SHE MADE IT!!! In spite of it all!💕
