This is 'narcissistic collapse', the guy cannot accept or face the fact he's the problem and so he's in this downward spiral. He probably blames everyone else because they trigger his insecurities and his fragile ego cannot handle it, hence more spiraling. The opening where he talks about his 'trauma' and how he had to stay with someone for a month is probably 'true' in his perspective. Narcissists in a collapse usually become extremely depressed, like, full on 'no-no self' depressed, hence his bullshit about how lucky he was to have a 'friend' to stay with. Not to sympathize with him, he's an awful human being, but from his perspective he probably did feel that way. Narcissists can never blame themselves and when their lies and deceit are uncovered they break, just like he did. It's sad how pathetic he is.

I will point out that abuse victims will usually play things off as ok, or downplay the situation in order to not further antagonize their abuser or cause them to escalate the situation. It's not unusual to see the abused party defend or even crack jokes while their being abused. Its a defense mechanism. If you can get the other person to laugh, maybe they wont yell at you or hit you again cos they'll be happy. However, that proof video was not it. That did not sound abusive at all. I wouldn't even call that a heated argument.

After he and his gf had a mutual breakup, he started harassing her through extremely long self-pitying texts. She wanted nothing to do with him, and he was SO tilted because he couldn't manipulate her into pitying him. He was more and more desperate, and he kept trying to twist everything around so that he was a victim. He even tried to involve their mutual male friends, and accused them of "swooping in" on her after their breakup like "vultures". Ultimately, he was hoping she'd run back to him and "apologize" for things she never did. Textbook gaslighting. Psycho behavior. With a few extra steps, that guy would be like Raijin.
