Hi Lamont, I have a very good friend who is a black woman and she is married to a white man. I have known her for over 20 years. She has 3 children, her eldest is the complexion of his father. The middle child has a medium light brown complexion. Their youngest child has a dark ebony complexion. She jokes that she had the kid's morning, noon, and night. She also pokes fun at her arrangement of wigs. She is a strong proud black woman, who fell in love with a man, not the colour of his skin. The comments about the wig's and fighting...can you say you have never seen a Wayans Brothers movie? Everyone has said stupid senseless thing's about our own race. Some of his comments are over 10 years old. He was a kid, and kid's say stupid stuff. The 2nd Mum comment, no one should judge that. It seems that she treated him as one of her own. That does not mean he loved her more than his biological Mum. It shows he loved her, and wanted to say thank you for caring about me. Maybe she was there for him when his biological Mum could not be. It is too easy to find fault in the dead, he can not defend himself. What about the Police Officers that beat this poor guy to death. Why are this YT's not vlogging about them being self hating blacks? Why should his child, his partner, or Father be plastered over YT? Or give interviews? His family is going through so much. People should pause and remember that.

NO ONE deserves to be treated like that. 5 policemen on one man is uncalled for. They went way beyond brute force to arrest this man. What did he do to deserve this treatment? They need to find them guilty and put in prison for life +. I am sure they will probably get 15 years each though. They murdered a man, no reason is right for doing that to him.

My husband and I raised 7 kids, they had tons of friends of every color imaginable. Because kids spent so much time in our home, I became second Mom to lots of kids of a rainbow of colors. We liked to think they could come to us for any reason, no matter what they did. Everyone was welcome as long as they followed house rules. No drugs, pot, or alcohol. No swearing, and everyone who was staying the night was in by 10 pm, unless otherwise pre decided. We never had to many issues in all those years. I'd hope another real Momwould never be offended that their kids called me Mom to. Our son's and daughters had a special best friends mom & dad that they did the same with. In fact just recently our 2nd youngest son got married and his best friend of coarse was best man, but his mom was my son's second mom. She was there and we had pictures done together. ❤❤❤

Dude was a skateboarder...so a lot of skaters on our forums etc been trying to like you know...pay their respects, so I been learning more about him, he was a really good skater. But I kindof figured he was one of those ones just based on his clothing choices and his earrings etc. A lot of black male skateboarders...tend to like, idk...not embrace their blackness. I won't say a lot...that's not fair, I'd say based on who I see and who I've met skating...it's like 50/50...you got some black skaters that are like Kareem Campbell type...the Stevie Williams types, but then you got ones that are like...they are a black person..but you can tell their minds are like white dudes. I'm more black leaning but I can get on some white boy sht sometimes. Usually those types also prefer white women...but even the hood type black skaters prefer white girls too sometimes. idk. I'm not against black men not preferring black women...I mean a preference is a preference and it's none of my business anyways. But the ones who like spend a sht ton of time hating on every little negative thing some black women do...annoy tf outta me, I don't fvck with nggas like that, I couldn't be friends with a ngga that got a mind like that...I'm just not with it. Dudes like that usually wouldn't mind putting their hands on a black woman at first chance...as I find their conversation about black women to be almost violent even though they aren't even talking about violence...just the nature of their speech patterns. Idk if that's momma issues or what with these nggas but I don't fvck with dudes like that..if you don't prefer them, well stfu about them. anyways, it's messed up what those cops did...and it's terrible he lost his life...I hope they go to prison for the rest of their lives I don't think they deserve manslaughter kind of sentencing.

I find it interesting how people like to dig up the dirt on victims and try to make them look like they got what they deserved. Also, he is not the only one who calls someone who is not his mother -mother. A lot of people do it. He preferred white women that’s fine with me - that was his preference. I prefer white men. He shouldn’t be hung out to dry over a few comments. What happened to him was one of the worst and shameful attacks I’ve heard of. That monster Haley didn’t even give him a reason why he was being arrested. So I think people need to chill over the few posts. He moved to Memphis to be closer to his mother and had her name tattooed on his arm. That doesn’t sound like someone who was ashamed of his mother.

So sorry for this poor guy being beaten to death unmercifully. Terribly sad. Nobody knows what his family dynamics were so really can't judge. My first thought when you said that he was happy his son looked white was that maybe he felt that his son might have more opportunities as a white man. I don't know but with all the racial divide there is in this country maybe that was his reason. Whatever the case it really shouldn't matter who he preferred as a partner. I think we all have certain types we are attracted to and beyond that what does it matter. The fact he was murdered unjustly should be the only reason we care and hope this kind of behavior stops. Pray for his family.

I’m a black woman, and there seems to have been some sort of self hatred at one point. Also, California is very different from Memphis as far as the people. There’s a clear difference. Maybe he saw more BW doing ignorant sh*t . I dunno…All this however, does not negate the fact that he shouldn’t have been beaten to death. You, as a very light skinned person, have a privilege that maybe Tyre wanted his son to have. You can roam around unbothered because you are racially ambiguous. Tyre could not do the same. I do not understand why you think that had he “fully complied”, he wouldn’t have been murdered. Animals, not interested in doing their job, killed him. Animals that like to instill fear in their own people, killed Tyre. You’re making excuses, or trying to. Their job was to arrest him if he had done something illegal, and take him to jail. They were having fun with their Scorpion label, and killed this man. There’s no excuse or justification. Just hope that your own racial ambiguity isn’t seen through… and you can continue your work and journey. Darker skin folks can’t do all this walking around, semi-trespassing, and live to tell the tale. Tyre wanted this ambiguity for his son.
