You could argue WB deserved title fight more than Wooldey but Dana promised Tyron shot because he fought Kelvin after Gastelum missed weight. Also he was not badly treated at all he fought on two Conor card and Jones vs DC 2 card while getting ppv points because he was not big enough to headline. As soon as he headlined a card he sold 150K ppvs so if Dana wanted to actually treat him bad he would be getting 150k ppv money not Conor’s 1mil+ or Jones vs DC 2 800k money.

As a black man, I actually feel as though MMA may very well be the least racist sport. Even in the face of racism, the greatest revenge is winning. Just concentrate on winning. The color the UFC is concerned with is green. All they want to know is whether you sell fights. You can even get away with losing to a degree if you can sell fights. You can be a terrible person if you can sell fights. Jon Jones left a pregnant woman in the street and it was okay because he can sell fights. Rampage Jackson forcibly dry humped a reporter on camera, but it was okay because he could sell fights. Why did Dana hype up Francis more than Stipe? It was because the objective is selling fights. Stipe didn't interest the casual fan, but the story of a guy who was homeless five years prior who can decapitate you with an uppercut did. Its about selling fights. Mighty Mouse is a terrible example too as he is by far the most successful in that weight class. The general public is just going to literally need a super fight to develop more interest in such tiny guys. You sell fights by a combination of having a style that people like and having a personality that people like. Regardless of your style, people like fighters that fight to win more so than they fight to not lose. Personality wise, its not even about talking trash. Its about being authentic. You can be a nice guy like GSP, Wonderboy. You can talk trash like Conor or Bisping. People like fighters that put it on the line and authenticity. They hate a fake nice guy and a fake trash talker too. People also hate complaining. If you complain every now and then, they might listen. If you complain all the time, they write it off. I would love for him to name me a white fighter who is contender level, always complaining who is loved by the fans. This doesn't endear you to the masses regardless of your race. You could even channel your complaining energies into championing the cause of someone less fortunate, but instead, he complains in favor of himself. The poor, mistreated, talented, reigning UFC champion. As to fighting style, I would never say that someone should change their style if it works. I believe that we need as many effective approaches as possible in MMA. People need to know what works and what doesn't regardless of how it looks. That's really the essence of what MMA is. Just don't expect the same love from the fans as someone who puts it on the line. Higher risks create more excitement. That's just a fact. You can't fight to not lose and expect the same love from the fans as someone who fights to win. Either way, just focus on winning by any (legal) means necessary and stop complaining.

I took a class in college where they touched on that. During interviews for job positions, one trait employers like to use with blacks would be is that they are, "articulate". Which is somewhat messed up, assuming that they wouldn't be prior to speaking with them. Same with if someone looked trashy, like trailer-park trash. Although, it was found to be more prevalent with blacks. Tyron is still a baby tho. Just thought I'd bring that up b/c it is an issue.
