Thoughtful presentation trying to raise concerns of chemicals being used without knowing it's consenquences; but still overall nothing new. It is and will always be hard to find out what long-term use and consumption of different chemicals means. Sometimes results on us and enviroment can be seen only after 10-20 years of massive use and production.

This raises the question if they actually represent the general population. Although this TED talk raises many questions on the validity, the fragments of evidence provided does present a compelling idea worth spreading. That is the idea of the TED talk.

He said we can't study the effects on humans so instead they analysed the amount of the chemical in men with low sperm counts. He is a scientist. Maybe you are too. I am a holistic person. I think correlations are valid of course a scientist wouldn't but before the scientific method existed we survived on seeing someone eat something, throwing up and then saying that might be poisonous. I think the answer is why put the stuff in your body. It is poison no matter what. We all know it's poison.

The thing with chemicals today is that when rated, each is rated on a clean body compared to adding that one component. So take a healthy person, use shampoo, check toxins. The problem is shampoo isn't the only one with toxins, canned food is as well, along with many other items we eat. There has been no study on the combine toxin levels.

Simoneau C, et. al Only 8 of 40 bottles released any measurable amounts of BPA, most were about ~1µg/kg with the worst being 1.83µg/kg. The regulatory limit is 600µg/kg. If you understand how small 1µg/kg is, then you understand why it's absurd she refers to it as "dosing our children."

They thought it was DNA but they found very strong evidence that it wasn't, as they have found in families with 5 children, the 5th child is 4 times more likely to be homosexual than the first child. If it was DNA, we wouldn't see such a huge difference between which child is in line.

BPA is hormone active, it does cause deformation in reptiles and mice, our current waste water treatment does not remove it (there is much work done to get that fixed) and we do not know what longtime exposure will do, even if it's very small amounts. Her presentation is bad and I had to force my self to watch it but there is science behind it.
