Tyson I have a question: Some people say that your paddle face should remain facing the same direction during your shot, so your paddle has a very linear path. This requires the elbow to be extending/moving during the shot. On the other hand, some people say that we should be dinking with only our shoulder moving, so the elbow doesn't move at all. This would mean the whole arm is swinging from the shoulder, your hand would be moving in an arc, not a straight line, and the paddle face would be changing direction quite a bit during the stroke. Which is better / correct? Thanks.

We teach dinking from the shoulder 👍. I think the amount and direction of movement of the elbow depends on the intent of the shot.

No way am I doing you a favor. Suggest a solid instead!! Oh ya. Notice how far in front of his body Tyson positions his paddle. Easy to control it. Thanks
