Love your videos, but is a bit of a travesty to The Vine to restore this grape press without food safe finishes. The people who would love it most would want, at least theoretically, to be able to press grapes for wine. You may have greatly reduced its restored value. And agree with others that a more natural, original finish would've been much more aesthetically pleasing for this project. But still love and enjoy your work. Possibly consider a do-over for this grape press! :D

Ouch. It pains me to agree with most of the comments that this was not one of your best. I actually spoke up quite loudly to my iPad when I saw the screws you used; just not the right kind at all. I was also concerned about whether or not you were going to use food-safe paints; saying you’re not going to drink the juice kind of kills the functionality of the device. Applying stain over a wood sealer? Ouch, again. Your thumbnail picture for this video makes it seem that color of the legs did indeed match the reservoir, but without the original patina present, the yellow stands out just too much for my taste. These are simply my opinions and in no way detract from the magnificent work you do. Just not a fan of this one.
