I could definitely give you that, Kew is an incredible talent and very satisfying to watch but I just find Tyler so impressive considering his age! We're living in a good time right now of young drummers carrying on the torch 🔥
@kevinlynch22488 ай бұрын
I love Tyler’s playing and think that his TOOL covers are up there with some of the best. However, John Kew is a more polished drummer, and like Carey (and seemingly Tyler too), he understands how to get the perfect tone out of his drums without adding anything externally. Also, next to DC, John has one of the best sounding snares I’ve ever heard.

Thanks so much, that really means a lot! I'm not counting on it but that would be pretty cool!
@84jdgregory7 ай бұрын
Unfortunately that's what a lot of drummers and musicians have to do now. What's the newest band that has record sales in general? Frees is playing for Foo Fighters now which is one of like two rock bands in the mainstream. Fall Out Boy being the other. We're in a sh!tty time for mainstream rock despite there being a lot of good rock coming out.
@thegreatfallingaway7 ай бұрын
@@84jdgregory Sadly, it's impossible for bands to make any money from record sales. Once a digital copy is sold, it's copied to oblivion. Only a fraction of the albums are paid for, the rest are just stolen. But that's about to change with the blockchain. By using NFT albums new albums won't be able to be copied. One album sold will equal one copy unless you buy an original from the creator. So album sales will matter again, and with NFT's, there's no need for a record company to be in the middle, as artists can now record their own music and distribute them on digital platforms by themselves, which means even more money for artists.

F***kin amazing....you played really well. Im a drummer....learnt by notes at age 13 and gave it up to fovus on studies & career by age 16. Never bought a drumkit after that nor played for any band except for playing on 2 tracks with the band that I hired to play for my wedding. Hope to buy a drumkit at some point in my life but i dont think i can be as good. You're quite good at it.....the kit sounded amazing on headphones even though youtube audio quality would suck some life out of the recording quality. All the best to you in whatever you're doing at the moment and in the future.

Pneuma is so magical, but honestly, as a non-drummer who doesn't know shit, this seem SOOOOOOO much harder. It's quite simply an excellent performance and irrespective of whether I could watch the original over this cover version I think I can judge this video and performance based on it's actual merits. Forget being an accurate cover. It alone is an excellent performance filled with rhythmic precision, musical dynamics and best of all authentic conviction and feelings behind every stroke. Excellent watch and I thoroughly enjoyed watching this guy's rendition of a prog drum classic. I'm happy I watched
