Leo Boudib;...lengthening or shortening a particular 'sensation' could lead to conflit...... then, what is a 'conflit'.? is it just a measurement.? could we trivialize conflit into a framework.?......i do not think so,...we need to go into the very depths of a conflit to determine its causation. right.? in doing so, its extension or distension becomes immeterial....so conflit resolution has nothing to do about its measurement.

Unfortunately, I think, He is giving a half message or partial insight. Yes it is true that emotions such as selfishness, greed, anger are natural and beyond our control, but that does not mean we are justified to act them out as nature's beings! The correct message would be this: Selfishness, greed and anger are emotions arising instantly from our mind when it faces situations. If we blindy act based on these, socieity will punish us (justifiably). We think that the solution is to avoid the arising of these impulses. Whereas the solution lies in acknowledging that we do not have control to avoid the instantaneously arising emotions, but we can choose NOT to act them out. So the solution is to accept the arising of the impulse but be responsible to not take action on that. While the impulsed mind is frusttrated like a tanturm throwing child, , the responsible mind will feel the peace. In other words, we are not responsible that the impulse arises, but we are responsible for action we take based on that. Our freedom lies in allowing impulses to arise as they are but instead of fighting them or indulging in them, we take action that does not land us or others in trouble as much as we can. This is better than either indulging or suppressing them. UG missed out the second part. Culture is simply living in a society where we learn to not act out some impulses. It is not the culprit. Culture - a societies listing of what actions are to be avoided and what are allowable - is what provides broad orderliness leading to better lives. Yes of course, as times change, each society has to revisit this list witht the knowledge that unbearable rules will cause distortions and mental diseases, but solution is not throw away culture

About 3 thousand years ago people kill each other and did what ever they wanted . Because this kind of teaching. Because they believed nothing exists. Then Buddha came alone and solved the question. Buddha found out emptiness exists. It's the ultimate intelligence witch never born and never die . Also Buddha found out cause and effect ( karma ) . I think this kind of videos create lots of problems to humanity.

I can only agree to a specific point. I agree that biological life is selfish, that we must feed ourselves, that we have to protect ourselves, that we have to create peace in order to serve ourselves etc. But this is where I draw the line: He would argue that the mother instinct is also just a built in selfish mechanism. This is also true to a certain degree. But! the mother instinct which is biological is in itself as much as it is genetic and built into most animals, is a whole different concept and one that completely leaps out of selfishness because it Is not selfish. I don't know whether someone without this mother instinct can really grasp what I am saying. The moment you feel this mother instinct you are Not selfish anymore. Jiddu Krishnamurti talks about this also. When you realize the need of others fully and when you see the others, feel them, understand them, empathize with them then you can not continue on a selfish path that hurts them. We carry a huge responsibility and we need to act on it.

***** I totally disagree with you. I see it exactly reversed. True love is altruism and non selfishness. True love is living a consequential live style. True love is saying No when you have to for yourself and others. True love is also caring for your own body. You are not separate from others. I am not separate from the trees outside my window. Saving the whales out of compassion for the other beings is also love for myself because we are all in this together. I don't do all of that from an intellectually orchestrated effort. I love because my brain is set up that way, I feel love all the time, it can even be painful often, but that's how I am and I can't change that and I wouldn't want to change that it is a good thing to be able to love like that.
